thats a classic! can you explain in the middle? of what? your room? again you see that dune2 only have four full octaves on the gui? how the hell the middle C should fit exact in the middle and why? ..fyi middle C is not C3 but C4 and will ever be for musicians and btw: the middle C is named middle C because it's in the middle of bass and treble clef:

88 Keys: (Middle-C is the 24th white key) not really in the middle as you would expect.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Hi,
is the full version storing Midi-Assignments?

The demo version does not, so after restart all midi-learnings are reset.

I'm enjoying this synth so far. With a little work on learning the flow of building poly pads, it may make me sell lush. I'm so happy the cpu is low too.

Great job Synapse Audio Team!

Regarding crack sounds indicating overload, I just happened to notice something odd. I only had one tab in Chrome open in the background, and the animated banner caused the same kind of noise in my DAW that I know from real overloads (when using Diva etc.) :P

DL'd the demo. Working very well in Cubase 6.5 in Windows 7 / 64 bit on 6 core i7 3.33 GHz w/ 16 GB RAM. Very low CPU. Don't know where the Spire comparisons came from but they are different in overall sound. Probably the EDM presets they both seem slanted towards for the purpose of selling. Dune 2 sounds warmer and more 3D to me where Spire sounds a bit more bright and edgy. Both are great synths and can compliment each other. I do appreciate the layout even if it's not the prettiest girl on the block. It's perfect for a fast workflow. For me, I don't feel the need (or have the money) to purchase this as it doesn't seem to trump my current faves (Zebra 2, Alchemy, Spire, Blue 2, Omnisphere, Synthmaster, blah blah etc) but it is a worthy and formidable competitor for certain. Maybe down the road as I really like the sound and the workflow.

Just tried it. It's good to see that modern synths still care about your CPU and don't some how assume that you have a top notch machine. For what it does, I'd say CPU usage is reasonable, compared to DUNE 1 which I have, it's only like a little higher. Compared to the new hogs I've tried for the last few months, it's pretty decent CPU usage.

The 3rd law of thermo-dynamics states that: the 2nd law has two meanings, one of them is strictly wrong, the other is massively misunderstood.

These two bass and lead sound clips are getting really close to that.

Thanks.
I kept tweaking, and I think these two basses are even closer to that analog res thing.

I added an FM EP I did in Dune2 at the end of this clip for fun.
The basses are completely dry, no eq/dist/comp used.
The EP uses internal chorus and reverb.
The EP is simply 1 FM operator 2voices.

The content is not installed into the same directories as the .vst/.component are, but automatically copied to the user's directory by the installer:
~/Music/Synapse Audio/DUNE 2/... (also please note that this is not the same folder as the root "/Music" directory, but a folder placed in your user's Home directory).

Please check if you see the content at there.
Indeed the Content folder was placed in the right spot as you stated above,
anyway it doesn't work! :? The Plug-In gives then 3 Error messages.

Thanks but I now uninstalled this crap. :(
Plug-Ins Instruments that don't have an easy installation find no place on my machine.

Many hundreds of people have not experienced the problems you have, still you are not going to give Synapse Audio the slightest benefit of the doubt and you call it crap!

Maybe it's you or your computer who is to blame. Just thinking out loud here.

The funny thing is the guy's always complaining about devs not supporting older Mac OSs such as 10.5. Someone comes along with a product that notionally supports it - but doesn't work off the bat and he just throws his dolly out of the pram. My bet is that it's some easily fixable permissions issue with the installer (that's probably best solved simply by manually moving the offending content).

We need a license to drive a car in most countries...

That keeps the clowns and the rest of the circus off the roads...

We really should understand the rudiments of driving these synths too....

That might cut down on the dummy spits and the dirty nappies
No auto tune...

Most of the idiots on the road have a licence. It doesnt mean they drive well once they pass their test... and not having a licence doesnt stop some ppl...
