I was looking for a midi interface for my Ipad2. Thomann now has the Line6 MIDI Mobilizer II New for 10 bucks. Has anyone tried it? I am only (!) looking for a cable based midi in/out (don't like wifi for this), not audio, to control Ableton Live. Does the Mobilizer2 work well? Or will I throw money out of the window with this one?

Thanks for the headsup - I might also get this if it is reliable and works with all synths - I know the first one only worked with synths designed for it but this seems to use coremidi, not a proprietary interface

I suppose the big question for me is will it work with the Air using a converter? I have an iPad 2 at the moment but planning to upgrade as soon as I have the cash.

I have the first MIDI Mobilizer but just chiming in to say if there's anything it doesn't work with directly, MidiBridge is your friend.

aMUSED - by converter you mean 30 pin to Lightning, right? That's what I use with mine for the iPad 4.
