Talk to your neighbor. Politely and in a friendly and unthreatening manner. Nothing else will help. All these amusing suggestions for revenge ... Doesn't work. I should know.
My neighbor was having her son do some kind of jackhammering in her basement. We share foundation walls. Or it sounds like it anyway. I was NOT on speaking terms with her from years of her prior social abuse. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I collected my Bose PA system against the wall we share in the living room and blasted NIN Broken from minidisc, on repeat.
It got me a noise citation.
If you've seen my contributions to the "is noise inescapable" thread, you'll understand the irony.

As an amusing side note: the neighbor attempted to retaliate first with music, and "blasted" the Bee Gees through the upstairs walls.

Assuming you can't play the violin, borrow one and jam along loudly whenever the song plays...
Voted KVR's resident drunk Robert Smith impersonator (thanks Frantz!)

If there is a shared fusebox in the building, you know what to doaudientronic wrote:No joke. It's been 3 hours so far today with no end in sight. Same thing yesterday. I can't let it go. I keep expecting Elton John to break in singing "Can you feel the love tonight..."
Without power there can be little bass, except if the guy got his own agregate of course
