yeah sorry if i wasnt'clear enough, and what you're going to do after you're finished looprecording in the arranger view is grab the end of the audio file and drag it out till it's fully exstended to see all of the audio that you've recorded during the looprecord session

Do you know if they will open it up to every one?
It is amazing, I looked at KVR this morning and the top 3 posts are all about Ableton live.
I have never seen so much interest in one application!

If you move the midi notes themselves isn't it the same?Does anyone know if its supposed to be able to do warp markers in the MIDI clips?
Don't really know about it but I know that you'll be able to apply a swing to any audio which is really nice. I hope that it also works with the amount of swing you can apply.
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

Hmmm... I tried that last night with some loops in Dr. Rex recorded into Live... and each pass seems to erase the previous take... Or clips it off, then they cannot be lengthened... In the manual, it says it will remain one big clip which you just move the markers to select different passes, but that's if its set to just loop I guess... Maybe I used punch in and out, AND loop, which is cutting it off?? I still can't get used to using audio instead of midi... To me it's so much easier to program the notes the way I want them, timing wise and velocity, and then just move it around... If it's audio, I can't change the timing later, or adjust a few beats etc. without chopping it up... I guess I'm so used to playing everything with a keyboard...

Yes, you could just move the midi notes, but the cool thing about warp markers is that you can "lock" them and shift EVERYTHING between markers a different amount. You could quickly lock all of the notes into a groove by moving a warp marker and not have to move individual notes...plus you could do some crazy changes with warp markers that would be tedious with regular note editing.paradiddle wrote:If you move the midi notes themselves isn't it the same?Does anyone know if its supposed to be able to do warp markers in the MIDI clips?

Yeah, it says you can apply swing to both audio and MIDI, so that should be pretty cool.

Could be a DNS problem, as I can't resolve www.ableton.com through nslookup. Hopefully its not, but it kinda looks that way.
