That would truly be superb...thanks for even considering my suggestion Richard! I haven't been this excited about a synth in forever. :phones:

Finally had a play with the demo... sounds fantastic, lots of possibilities... definitely going to be upgrading...
You need to limit that rez, bro.

I find the pricing a bit odd. Dune 1 users used to pay 140 dollars, now they can upgrade to v2 for 80 dollars, i.e. they will have paid 220 dollars for both. The new bundle v1 & 2 costs 200 dollars, meaning that those who paid in the past and financed the development of v2 in the first place end up paying more than those who never paid a dime in the past.

A couple of remarks on the interface, which I like a lot in terms of ergonomics :)

- Since most people tend to use various synths where the amount/level knobs of the envelopes sometimes come in front of and sometimes after the ADSR knobs, it would be nice to set those knobs somehow apart from the ADSR knobs visually, like by a different LED ring color. This way one would not have to read the labels.
- A different LED ring color would also be nice for the filter, e. g. green for cutoff and red for resonance.
- The 8 big panel selection buttons should somehow indicate if anything inside those sections is actually active/being used, for instance via a light red backlight. Maybe one could even use them to switch those sections completely off and on.
- If one could also use those buttons to switch stuff on and off, the keyboard would be displayed if none of the 8 panels are displayed. I.e. there would be a free panel which could be used for the arp. I think it would be better to put the arp at the bottom as there is more space, enough to display all steps at once and use buttons/knobs/sliders/LEDs. Like with other arps/sequencers like on Tal's Bassline.
- Not sure (am no native speaker, either), but wouldn't Count or Number be more appropriate than Amount for the number of unison voices?

That's just like everywhere else in the industry. You usually have to pay more just after a product release that a few years later.
DUNE 1 users like me didn't just "finance the development of DUNE 2", we got a great product we used for a long time before v2 came along. New users never got that time.

Well, that's why you paid for it in the first place ;)

I also don't like that Europeans have to pay more again because of the IVA. They should simply charge non-Europeans more to begin with in order to compensate for the IVA not being charged.

I like Christmas trees 8) Look at the compressor LEDs, 4 different colors and it looks great :)

BTW, why is the amp attack of the INIT patch set to 7%?

To keep it from clicking due to a too short attack time. Try it.......switch the VA waveform to Triangle and set attack to zero.........

I hope I can explain this request correctly. One of the things I LOVED about LUSH was the key edit.
This was a keyboard GUI edit feature where you could draw different colored lines to assign a voice to a certain set of keys.
In other words: Layer one is maybe a bass line. All you had to do was assign a color, then draw that line to the key it would play on. So, C0 through C3.
Okay, then layer two is an arp, so you pick another color and draw it. The great thing is you could overlap lines. So, you could have a whole sequence that was triggered by key.
Kind of a hyper split.

Is this do-able?

I know, but why do they care if it clicks or not? Maybe I want to make a kick drum? :D Since the filter envelope is not even turned on and cutoff is set to max (settings which certainly hardly anyone uses), it seems odd to have that attack setting in the INIT patch...
BTW, release is set to zero, which also causes a click, but that click seems ok :hihi:

I've been using this for a few days now, and it's one of the best synths around in my opinion.

i don't get your complaint either. you have TWO different plugins. you USED dune 1 for however long you owned it. so...dune 2 is a NEW synth, and you get it for $80. it doesn't stop you from using dune1...and $20 different? let it go. dune 2 is well worth the asking price, and/or the update price anyway!
