@godly.
Is your sound bank just going to be the ones used on the Vienna tune, or will there be more other old school patches too ?

Nice cover version by the way :tu:

A request - Can you get the "Big in Japan" riff sound ? I have tried to copy the settings from my Jupiter-8 that we used on it, but get an epic fail :help:

Post

Noooooo :)
I already have these: Sweet Dreams, Jump (with the 1984 drone and OBx Strings), Yazoo Don't Go, Beat It Chime, Vertigo Moog, Blondie Call Me, Save a prayer SQRs and strings, Fly Like Eagle SQRs, Numan Cars intro and Lead, Numan Friends, Abba Gimme Flute, Journey , Fooled Again organ, etc,...

I'll check that big in Japan sound, which one is it? The orchestral brass/string... waducallit :D
My sounddesign: Synth1/Ex5/D-50 patches https://goo.gl/zE3pkk
My stuff: W10x64i7 15" laptop, Reaper/Cantabile3+Synth1+Avenger on stage+NordStage2+Samson Graphite 49

The main riff that plays the intro before the vocal kicks in, when we recorded it I had it stored as patch 11 on my Jupiter-8. The closest I have got to it was using the Waldorf PPG 2v VST.

Sorry but you're wrong there. The impressive aspect of the OPX (Pro) is the low CPU consumption, especially for the high quality sound it produces. Your pc must be really old then :o

Too bad it's PC and 32-bit only and the GUI could be improved too.
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Sorry, on both my PC's way to slow,
Is a 3Ghz 64b 8Gb Ram machine good enough? :D
I'm talking about the ProXII, also on V-Machine it didn't work, to heavy.
I like ProX also, great sounds, great synth, but to many layers...

Do you mean that sort of arpeggiator bass? Shouldn't be so hard I guess. . .

That's really weird. Look at this performance demo running 21 instances of OPX-Pro II, it shows how light on cpu it is and also should be on your systems:

Thx :)
The sequence is not perfect, but it's a nice demo for the sounds. I'll do some more later on. Now working on Van Halen Jump and 1984 intro. (does somebody have the right chords of that intro haha)

Not the bassline sound, the actual riff sound.

Those Japanese bells? Shouldn't be so hard.
The intro sound is something else, quiet complicated.

Yeah man, totally !
I would add a stereo short delay in synth1, so you get that pan effect
