Hi folks,
I'm new to Sylenth1, it sounds great, but I only find techno and dance presets for it.
ANy idea if the synth is great in Analog sounds?
And if there are any presets available?

What on earth are you talking about? Techno and dance are made from analog sounds as well...anyway a synth will sound how you program it. That said if you want your "analog" sound whatever that does mean - you should really learn to program it. I am sure i am sounding harsh but that's the only thing out there. Learn to program it and it will sound just the way you like it..

My friend, I sure know how to program analog stuff, trust my ;-)
The question is: are there any good analog sounds out there for Sylenth, since I only find techno stuff.

I'm asking this because I read some reviews:

I can't take a nice progr rock sound out of it, it might be the best soft synth, but only if you are into trance music

Only for trance and techno stuff. Too harsh and noisy, a beast hard to tame. Not my cup of tea, sorry.

It's mostly used in some of this genres for typical sounds (plucks etc) because it doesn't sound very analog ;) Also trance/techno etc. guys using different stuff if it comes to a more "analog" sound.

yes, I'm reading that somewhere else also.
Filters:
The filters are great. I will not say sublime, but they are very good. They don't sound quite analog to me, in that their character is somewhat digital and predictable, but they are excellent and you can't make them sound bad. The drive is very good, it screams more than most VA's and adding just a small amount is genuinly useful.
What synth that compares with Sylenth but sounds more analog, would you recommend?

You can try Synapse Audio Dune 2... it plays a bit in the same department with a focus to trance/EDM and similar electronic styles but has a different (more analog) overall sound. IMO it remembers a bit to Roland synth.

In the freeware realm is Charlatan and OBXD, which sound very lively and organic (analog)

This somehow doesn't fit. When you know how to program analog stuff, why do you need to rely on reviews now to determine whether Sylenth1 is capable of analog sounds or not? Try it out. :P

Smarties,
trying out is not tweaking some knobs as you guys think, it's creating tens of presets and tweaking until you know the real depth of a synth. That's why I ask.
