can i open rex files and map each slice automatically across the pads?
how do i bring it up in spark2? how do i do anything LOL...
am usually good at figuring things out, but...not afraid to ask for help when i need it.
so... help!

ok. how do i do this? have been playing with spark2 & loving it. but..decided to check out the rex player...and am lost.

The REX Player will appear in the Studio panel. Use the mode knob to switch between Mode 1 and Mode 2. Mode 2 will play slices individually, depending on your slice settings. Check page 62 of the manual.
