Tell me this, because it's not clear:
How do I save presets in banks in Sylenth1?
If you change settings, switch preset and get back, the settings are the same.
(I know it's in the manual

Yes, you can do a reset, but when I switch banks, the previous settings keep changed. That can't be the meaning of it.

So how do I edit without saving? And only save when the edit is correct?

My suggestions to you godly are these...

Go and find some books and tutorials on synthesis and sound design and a few good synth manuals...

The're all out there...Seek and ye shall find...

Make some strong coffee and then go and open up Sylenth and hit initialize...

That's a good place to start...

Then you can answer your own questions...

That's always a much stronger response

Nonsense. A few seconds with a basic sawtooth*2->-Filter-Amplifier patch is all that you need to determine if a plugin sounds analog. Turn up the res, sweep the filter, open the filter and detune the oscillators. If it sounds analog, it will show up here. A few more minutes playing with more subtle features will tell you if it's on par with the best or just a runner up.

Sylenth sounds great.

Dune 2 may also rock, I have no need to try it, but to say that Sylenth can't do trad synth sounds is patently absurd.

I play and program the synths for 20 yrs now, so you don't have to tell me how it works.
I'm only asking opinions here, not those nasty comments...

So, I ask again, any idea help on the saving presets in Sylenth?

Wow....

You've been playing and programming synths for over 20 years and you can't save presets

We're not being nasty...

We're just saying that sometimes in life you have to learn to wipe your own butt...

This is in the manual, but read my question above !

3.8 Loading, Saving and Editing Presets

You can load, save and edit presets and soundbanks using the MENU button
on the LCD display.

Loading and saving presets and banks
Single presets can be saved using the Save Preset (.fxp) option. They are
saved with the .fxp file extension. To load a preset to the currently selected
program number, choose Load Preset (.fxp) and select the preset file you
want to load.

In a similar way you can load and save soundbanks containing 512 presets
using the Load/Save Bank (.fxb) option. Soundbanks are saved with the .fxb
file extension.

Renaming presets
The name of a preset can be changed by clicking the small dot on the left
side of the preset name. To cancel editing, press the Esc key or click
anywhere outside the edit box. To apply the changes press Enter.

Editing presets
You can copy a preset to another program number by clicking the Copy
Preset option and using the Paste Preset or Insert Preset options at a
different program number afterwards. Delete Preset will delete a preset from
the list.

If you want to create your own presets and start with a clean setting, you
can choose the Init Preset option that will initialize all parameters of the
currently selected preset. The Randomize Preset option allows you to
randomize all parameter settings which can be useful if you want to create
new sound effects.

With the Reset Preset option you can reset the parameters of the currently
selected preset to its original state. This way you can undo all parameter
changes you made to the selected preset.

So again, instead of giving smart comments, give some smart help, I ask again:

i read your question but it don't make any sense: you can save banks or single presets it's up to you. sylenth is acting the way that it keep all changes of the preset even if you switch to another preset during a session: of course if you dont save your changes the next session you load up all your changes are gone: with load up i mean you load a fxb of fxp over the menu. thats absolute normal behaviour in most vst.

ps. could it be you misunderstood the four sub banks of 128 each as different banks? a bank (.fxb) in sylenth can hold up 512 presets (divided over four sub banks). you dont change the bank only because you switched to another sub bank (1-4) within a bank.

Thx man, that's the answer I need

So it only saves during the session.
If you don't save the bank, you loose the settings.

It's unusual to me, As I'm used to the way of working that you have to save a preset, even in a bank. So when you recall an unsaved preset you loose the former edits.
I would rather like to have a save button for every preset.
It mostly is that way on hard synths and also on most softsynths that I know.

I checked it, and recalling the banks doesn't recall the first settings, so it's all about the session.

no problem. in FL Studio under WRAPPING SETTINGS/PRESETS/ you can turn off "Allow program editing". that way it don't keep the changes within a session. i use it sometimes.

Sylenth1 Analog sounds or only techno?
