As you can see on picture, chord is Em, but you cant see if it Fm or Em. By default the height of chord line is too low to view chord properly.

1. How can I make it taller?
2. How can I make it right size by default when I open RC?

It seems to be an issue with the screen resolution.

That kind of issue happens generally when Windows doesn't send to the software the correct informations related to the resolution presently used by the graphic card.

Could you give a few adding informations, if you know them?
  • What is exactly your graphic card? (trademark and exact model)
  • What is your screen model? (the same, trademark and exact model)
  • Is really your screen resolution at its optimal value for that graphic card?

Generally all these informations are given by a click on the desktop with the left button of the mouse, and select the name of your graphic card in the little menu (if the name of your graphic card doesn't appear, choose "Screen resolution" simply and continue immediately below).

Note carefully all that, as better as you can.

And now, do this little test:
  1. Close your RapidComposer if it is open.
  2. Then change for one minute the resolution to a lower value (and validate it).
  3. Then change it once more... to set it to the maximal value available for your graphic card.
  4. Then reopen RapidComposer.
  5. And see if now the issue is still there.
But don't forget also to send here the informations you've noted at my first lines. The most informations you'll give, the easier the solution will be found.

Good point. Somehow the font is not resized properly to the size requested by the program.

Is it possible you set other than 100% in the Custom DPI Setting window or Custom Text Size? Is the "Use Windows XP style DPI scaling" check-box enabled?

This will be fixed in v2.7 where the master track will be a bit higher to show the scale name too. I'll make sure this won't be an issue anymore.

Thanks,
Attila

Thanks for your answers, guys.

Yes, it is.

I could not change size of letters, because it is optimal for me. I am old man and need big font to work with. For me "menu" font and this "steel string guitar" font is too small and inconvenient either. But I can read. Chords reading is a problem.

I was sure that it was something of this kind. A sort of non standard use. Windows becomes very capricious when we are not totally inside the standards and sometimes we meet that kind of surprise.
:D
Ok, so don't change anything since Attila has said he will fix the problem. A good option would be perhaps to have a little box in the settings where we can set at one's convenience a height (in pixels or any other unit, i don't know) for this line where there are texts which are unpredictible.
