I've gotten some pretty decent 80s sounds out of Sylenth, more "analog" than what can be gotten out of Massive, but the lack of pulsewidth modulation in Sylenth is an absolute buzzkill

Music theory, composition, arranging, recording, mastering and God forbid - even performing - we are all absolutely clueless about any of that stuff...
And some of us have been fooling ourselves and others by doing this music thing professionally for yonks![]()
Yes Sir...We just sit around "tweaking some knobs" and using the presets that we have bought for our various noise makers from enlightened beings who are far more elevated than us lemmings...
So when we need dub step (whatever the hell that is) we use the dubstep presets.
When it's dance, trance or romance - we just use the correct presets![]()
We don't know nuffink about synthesis so we just use the prescribed presets...
Same thing when we're recording...
Most of us are brain dead, illiterate and deaf,so we just buy the right plugins for whatever style we are producing to give us the "analog"or the "digital" sound or whatever we are told it is.....
Because we can't think for ourselves,we just believe what everyone else tells us and we take that as gospel![]()
Yes Sir...We just sit around "tweaking some knobs" and praying some that some good shit is going to appear at the end of the line...
That's the way you do it godly...
Just buy the right presets and you'll be just fine....

As any synth, its mainly what you make with it.

Also FM can't be forget. DX7 changed the whole game.
Do you have these sounds for sale or download?

Hm, It's hard to kick off from Synth1, it has PWM, Ring and FM,...
Only thing missing is the wonderfull FX that Sylenth has.

It's one of the plugins used by Mitch Murder ... and that guy makes very authentic 80s style music.
How do you know he uses Sylenth for these songs?

After reading through this thread and trying to make sense of what the OP wants here's my .02
There are over 500 sounsets of presets available to purchase for Sylenth.
Save sounds from the menu.
You can do ANY sound from Sylenth if you know how.
While some synths sound "like" Sylenth, none sound as good...

Where did you got that information?Caine123 wrote:afaik he mostly uses synth1 not sylenth1Nokenoku wrote:Sylenth1 can indeed sound very analog.

Also in the video you can see Albino, Zebra, Wavestation, ...
I highly doubt, he uses "mostly" Synth1.
Yeah ... kind of ...chk071 wrote:Might be 80ies style music, but the sounds actually sound pretty modern. Like... from a VA...
If you want full vintage power, I can only recommend DIVA.
It took me some time to get warm with this synth, but now it's one of my favorites.

I remember i read somewhere here too, that he uses Synth1. I know for sure that some popular trance producer use/used Synth1, so it's not a total "out of the world" thing.Nokenoku wrote:Where did you got that information?Caine123 wrote: afaik he mostly uses synth1 not sylenth1.
