Only VERY NEXT sales!
That was an example. I also gave an example of a blowout sale that came after and that is still running. Very good to see you'd rather try to misquote/misinterpret/twist than admit you misread or jumped to conclusions.

It works like it works now, I don't have a crystal ball so use or don't use the points you get that can defray the cost of our products. It is truly your choice. Have at it.

That's what you wrote:
"...people WERE able to use them on the very next promotion..."

I can only interpret what you write. If you'd have written "30 % for ALL sales", things would be clear now...

Post

Yes they were immediately available for use in the next promo, the statement and message was - edit, and still IS since we are having problems parsing tense here - grammatically correct. They were and they are still (as both my examples show - remember I also said I just tested it on the existing sale?). I'm sorry it wasn't clear for you but it seemed clear to others and meant that "once the change was made, people were then able to use them on the very next promotion". You also could go to the link I provided or have interpreted DarkStar's post which was also grammatically sound for more details (or asked). Either way, enjoy them or not, I'm not entering further into a grammar discussion as it has already been established here on KVR that I have quite a good handle on my native language and I apologize if that causes confusion in any way.

Wow. Just... wow.

"Instead of 50 % now only 30 % of the price can be paid with JP, but they can also be used during sales!"

One sentence. Clear for all people in the world. No matter which language...

Anyway, this JP system is keeping me away from buying something of IKM, as well as the non-resalable Custom Shop plugins...

I did say DarkStar's post was correct, I didn't highlight this part but it was correct too:
IK Multimedia listened to these users and changed the policy, so that the JamPonits could be used on the special offers, but changed the limit from 50% to 30% as a counter-balance.

You need to limit that rez, bro.

let me get this right. Guys who were complaining they could not use their jam points are the guys who only buy during a sale anyway.

Try to keep up and follow me on this because this is hilarious.

Say I am one of these guys.

So I am not buying anything unless it is on sale and that means all my jam points would never ever be used and are already worthless to me because I will never get to use them except maybe adding on a single item for an amp or individual special fx unit that I just have to have.

Now J points are made okay to use on sale items and we can use them to buy sale merchandise so if we buy something 50% off we can now use our jam points towards that item were before we never were going to be able to do that at all just because we never buy their stuff unless it is on sale.

Come on guys that is a win for our side because now we get to shave off even more $$$ when we buy a product that is on sale. How can that be a bad thing?

Think about it. This is not rocket science. I guess some people just cannot be happy unless they have a reason for griping and complaining and so they make one up just to so they can do that.

I think I get ops point. I do coke rewards and rotella and get a few hundred in gift cards each year. I don't have to pay 25 on my 50 dollar gift card. Reward points are a reward.

Raise the prices, kill the discount possibilities. Sounds great  :hihi:

I hate this personally. But hey, there will be a new sale coming along shortly that will make up for it (though it will likely just be another sampletank 2.5 thing) :D

I can usually get IK stuff cheaper elsewhere than at IK using JamPoints.

Just an observation.

Also note that we are also in no way responsible for anyone having to pay VAT or for inflation, so contact your respective government if you have issues with those.
Umm....I don't live in Italy. Why should I have to pay Italian VAT? Why isn't IKM, a somewhat multinational company, not serving its customers from someplace where there's no 22% VAT?

Don't bother to reply. It was a rhetorical question.

@Bombadil - It should be answered so I will - I don't either and I don't pay VAT. We only charge VAT where required by law. If you have a question about your specific case we have multiple methods of contact available to you always. http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-us/ ... IKForm.php

It's essentially the equivalent of discounting something 20% right after raising prices 20%. There's really no difference at all, but it's meant to entice (see 'trick') people by thinking they are getting some benefit.

Another example of how this company does business, while they should be sticking to promises and being more competitive with other companies (I'm referring to ridiculous transfer and re-download fees).

I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised.

Post

Seems a lot of disquiet with IKM on here and not just regarding jam points.

For balance, I can only speak as I find and I have always been more than happy with IKM products and their after sales.
