Hi all,
I must say I am very new to those so called creative effect vst until recently I watched some nice demo from youtube and got some advises from the Effect sub-forum.
Truth is, I didn't find any major synths have those creative effects bulit-in. Take Delay as an example .... Zebra and Predator have great delay effect but only have some standard types like ping-pong, tape delay ..... Anyone knows if there any synths with creative effects built-in?
Regards!

Do you mean an effect sequencer a la Effectrix? Sugar Bytes Cyclop has one, which suits it fine, because it's meant to be a glitchy mono synth. For the more traditional synths I think it would be either regarded as overkill or unsuitable for the synths character.
That said, I'd personnally love to see an effect sequencer like the one in Cyclop in a synth like Alchemy.

No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

If you modulate the effect parameters using MSEGs, LFOs and whatnot, you'll get the same effects. In Zebra, you have tons of options for this, because the modulators are so damned flexible and because you can chain the effects just as you like them.

Maybe SymptOHM can interest you?
"Symptohm's greatest strength is its ability to transform and modulate sound in a manner unheard-of before. Besides the innovative synth engine, it is perhaps the integration of Quad Frohmage's filter section which gives you this level of possibilities over forty parameters have their own LFOs and ADSR envelopes."

Define 'creative effects' adequately.cowby wrote:Hi all,

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Loads of instruments have all kinds of effects, and many can use those in creative ways (ie using synth modulators to vary effects parameters, or inserting effects into the synth path at various points rather than just at the end).
Many instruments have a whole shedload of effects, like Omnisphere for example. Some just have some simple things (basic chorus, delay and reverb etc). It's really up to the developer, and how much time and effort they want to spend on the effects - each effect could require as much development as a full standalone plugin.
Obviously, one instrument cannot have all the effects in the world included - for that, you can still use your other favourite effects in the normal ways on the insert channel in your DAW.
