Why do you think so, the same sale was held last year.

Very good deal indeed.

It has been offered at that price once or twice before (three years ago..?) so I wouldn't say it was necessarily an indicator that R6 is on the way but who knows...

:)

And the year before that.

Because Reaktor 5 has long time no big update and it's a method to receive money and to get people to buy it now and upgrade later to a possible Komplete 10 or Reaktor 6

I was born 1967 and haven't had an update, still working fine too.

But it seems Native Instruments themselves don't want to go to number 6 ?

Many of the updates of v5.x could probably have gone to 6 instead of being 5.x's

With v5.6 for example 64 bit support was introduced. Many other vendors would have then gone from v5.5 to v6 but not Native Instruments

They dont usually reveal the new products before the version of Komplete they're in, though.

With something the complexity of Reaktor, I suspect for them a V6 will have architectural changes, not just feature changes. The benchmark for that would be the introduction of Reaktor Core to V5; porting to x64, for example, while not 'trivial' wasnt a change in the architecture, just the target platform.

Reaktor v 5.5 was also a rather substantial update with revised interface etc.

But it seems Native Instruments are more than content offering all of these updates for free, instead of users having to pay upgrade money, so I'm quite happy with Reaktor staying on v5.x :D

I'm thinking Kontakt 6, Reaktor 6, Guitar Rig 6... and only then Komplete 10.

Why? Because it makes sense. Kontakt 5 was in two Kompletes by now (8 and 9), Reaktor 5 was in even more. They need a change here.

I think it on the way because 2005 is a long time already ;)
