I did it by memory...

I just wanted to do something that I could practice my violin to, so now I have it... Just thought I'd share. I still need to tweak here and there, but overall, I like it...

I am a big fan of the Lord of the Rings movies and music...

Actually I am a Howard Shore fan and I like Enya now since her work on the Lord of the Rings... she does have a wonderful voice..

What kind of lord of the rings related music did he do?

I don't really listen to rock... it's the Howard Shore film score that I love...

should really check out Bo Hanssons Lord of The Rings work.
Its beautifully atmospheric and suggestive and is
not really just 'Rock' music at all.

Hey Mr. Lizard. Yup, done entirely by memory ( keep in mind I have seen the first film 8 times, the second film 4 times, and the third one twice, so I am starting to remember the music ). At least, the main themes... and somewhat how they go..

If I get a chance to listen to him, I will, I promise. I can't go and buy the cd or anything but if I get a chance to listen to it, I will, really. I am interested in LOTR in general. Thanks for checking it out..

HEY HEY...You guys KNOW I'm a big LOTR fan ! I name a lot of my patches with names and places from the books ( check out my Synth 1 bank if you want to play Frodo , Sam , Pippin and Merry

I love the Bo Hanson work as well and finally got it on CD. ..IT IS NOT ROCK, but a very cool prospective on the LOTR journey. Great use of Mini-moog as well.

I did my own LOTR journey using the Hotz Box and software. I did a whole CD's worth. I might dig up a URL as I think I posted my Mines of Moria rendition. A dark piece for me.

Still have to download this piece..and I'm going to. Thanks a lot for the Thread! I moved my mouse quick to catch it:-)

Oh ya, I know about your presets I was just listening to some in Sytrus the other day.


This was one of those peaceful afternoons...

I am so freaking happy I have that patch! It's just the same patch played in several octaves, and then I changed the velocities of the sounds... really simple, but so effective when you have the right melody Howard Shore

It was a nice change from the thumping 808's though. I need to do this more often. There is something very peaceful about it...

Some sounded really good... but one... well.. I'm not a big organ fan , but I love the electric piano... weird hey?

There are a few there that I would like to hear in full.

The soundtrack of the movies is what I really like though. I'm into full orchestra's... it moves me more

My wife & I went to see the first movie about 10x..that music in the intro with Galladrielle speaking in Elvish gave me a hard-on the first time I heard it, it was like getting high for a few seconds, pure euphoria

I read the Lord of the Rings when I was in like 3rd grade, it's been with me my entire life.

Oh man do I envy you for not seeing the movies yet. I wish I could watch them for the first time again. However, they are so rich in images and music that you keep on noticing new things after every screening.

Is there a reason you haven't rented ( bought? ) the movies yet? I am just curious because these are my favorite movies of all time..

Not condoning drug use or anything, I was just splurging for something special, which it was, so have a blast when you finally do get to see the movies.
