I'd like to second this. Like most of the TAL effects, it's very good-sounding.afreshcupofjoe wrote:The free TAL flanger is honestly one of the best ones out there. It usually beats my commercial plugins.

Gotta bump this thread to ask about something similar to the flange effect in the old Super Camel Phat? It synced to the host clock, but only was able to cycle through 4 bars (no more, no less.) I used to use it a lot on my PC, but don't have it for my Mac. Camel Phat 3's flange effect doesn't sync to the host clock (audio rate only.)
I've got the flange/phase effect included with Waves Gold, and that's it for flangers.

Try what MFlanger can do for you. Sync options from 1/128 up to 128 bars, triplets and dotted and tuplets. Morph between different waveforms from sine with added harmonics up via sawtooth up to noise and beyond, optional smoothing of the waveform. And that waveform can also be blended with a selfmade waveform and/or a stepsequencer. Add tube saturation, two different tape modes in addition to the "regular" mode and a then some, and all of that for free!DJMaytag wrote:Gotta bump this thread to ask about something similar to the flange effect in the old Super Camel Phat? You need to download a whole bundle of MeldaProduction goodness though.
If you want a multibandoption with up to six bands and/or need some modulators with envelopes and level followers and pitch tracking of the signal or a sidechain signal and stuff there's the MMultiBandFlanger. Presently 49 EUR ± 67 USD

They're not all free. The excellent U-No-LX and Bassline 101 are commercial plugins. If you love the effects, you can always buy one of the synths.idoidoido1989 wrote:Wow great responds!!!

Doesn't it only work for 15 days, then you have to buy it? It the whole "Free" Effects bundle $67 USD or can you buy just the MFlanger for less than that?V-GER wrote:DJMaytag wrote:Try what MFlanger can do for you. That sounds like the demolimit for MMultiBandFlanger and the other MMultiBand effects, 15 days of full functionality to see if it's the right choice for you. The free bundle however remains free, no demo limit. The paid upgrade for what is for some silly reason then still called "the free bundle" is to gain some extra functionality:DJMaytag wrote:Doesn't it only work for 15 days, then you have to buy it? That update is 49 EUR ± 67 USD for the whole bundle, no deal on upgrading just one plugin.Advantages of the upgrading
The software is totally free of charge, so please download and enjoy! You should consider upgrading to a professional version though. This is what you get:
You can change size and style of the plugins.
You can access sonogram feature in analyzers and equalizers.
You can manipulate your own presets.
Most plugins can perform upsampling which minimizes aliasing, therefore it is useful to improve sound quality.
The plugins will not contain the nasty big box in the bottom with our clickable logo.
You will make us happy and let us develop more free software.
And the more advanced MMultiBandFlanger is also 49 EUR ± 67 USD.
So you have a choice between:
* a totally free bundle of creative effects
or
* a paid upgrade to resize the plugins and manipulate your own presets + oversampling and analyzer options (and to support the developer)
and finally there's
* a fully fledged paid multibandversion of the flanger plugin.

Sorry, I'm late to the party (as usual) My two fave flangers are:
Blue Cat Flanger -
http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_Flanger/ (http://www.bluecataudio.com/Products/Product_Flanger/)
For its sheer quality
Dust Bucket by Signal Dust -
http://www.signaldust.com/p-dustbucket.html (http://www.signaldust.com/p-dustbucket.html)
Yes I know it's a chorus really, but it does do some nice flanger stuff too.
Both are free and available in 64 bit. Dust Bucket is Windows only, but Blue Cat is Mac as well.
Just as a point of reference, I just looove those old school flanging effects; a la 'Itchycoo Park' by the Small Faces, 'Wasn't Born To Follow' and 'Old John Robertson' by the Byrds
So the two plug-ins I have mentioned fit the bill perfectly for me
