Omg, ghettosynth, forget Thor... I understand in Kontakt 5 you can split the signal, ok, I know, so...
Same as for some other SL products there is a very good kontak scipt for the UI;
some of the sounds in the demos are beautiful (but it's a matter of taste);
I mean, for the very high price they ask... this is not enough for me to buy this lib.

My Fanfare failed registration. I wasn't aware of how the boards were blowing up on the topic, so I went through the normal NI support channels. NI responded that my serial had been previously registered by someone else, and they asked where I bought it.
My Fanfare was shrink wrapped and showed no signs of tampering. If it hadn't happened to me, I might not have believed it could happen. But it did, and I can only assume that I experienced the serial number problem that Joe describes in his post.
Although disappointed, I see no bad behavior here on the part of SL. Nor MF. Just a tough break. And I'm still pleased to have gotten Rumble at an outrageously great price.

OK getting spammed every couple of days over this is annoying - one email should be sufficient - not 4 (since the 21st)

As I said above... first I've ever heard of such a thing in a large-scale retail context. Somebody's not telling the truth.zqxwcevr wrote:Although disappointed, I see no bad behavior here on the part of SL. Nor MF. Just a tough break.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

I listened to the demos and I was instantly transported back to the heady days when I used to take a trip up to Denmark Street in the 90s and futz about on all the workstations in Turnkey and be wowed by all the cool evolving sounds I'd never use in any actual music.

I've contacted SL directly and they took care of the problem.
I now have a working serial number and my opinion has changed because of it.
Really shows the power of the internet and customer base when done in such numbers.
But they have done the right thing, and it seems important for me to acknowledge it and change my position on the matter.
MF and SL have both given above board considerations for my inconvenience.

Re: Arpology
I typed in "Arpology" and "expensive" - into google and immediately got to this thread.
Good to know it's not just me who thought it was a little over priced.
I've watched the videos - listened to the demos - and still can't work our why I'd want to pay $399.
I paid a similar price for Komplete!
I already use HALion-5 - which for a similar price - not only has great step sequences and arpeggiators - it also comes with a 15+ gig sound library - plus you can also use your own sounds.
Or - if you want to keep it within Kontakt - HGsounds have Kosmology - or even a Free Arp called FreeFall - which really does deserve our consideration.
I find it hard to believe that Sample Logic have sent me an email - to advertise a product @ $399 ($299 into offer).
I sent a private PM via Facebook to suggest their pricing was a little ambitious.
To which I received a sarcastic response.
And now having read the thread regarding customer service - I feel compelled to add my voice to this thread.

They place a value on their work and end product. I can't and won't take that away from them.
As I stated earlier, I find their prices unaffordable, especially when you can find like quality usable instruments less expensive from other sources.
But who are we to say how they should decide pricing? I am sure they have their reasons.
If they are happy missing sales because of this then they will live with the results.
As for the customer service from this fiasco, exemplary IMO.
Happy Musiking!
