A friend of mine is working on very cool project, visualizing the chords and harmony in music, in real time over the microphone of your phone. A basic app is done but there is so much more to do and it can always be better! That's why he wants feedback / would love to hear who is using it and what dreams you have!

The newest stuff can be seen here (video): https://vidd.me/is5

The android app can be downloaded for free here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ye.android

PS: I'd love to port stuff to iOS and contribute, development takes time and needs enthusiastic users and last but not least, funding. Any ideas? We are both europeans living in Prague, Czech Republic, so that means Kickstarter, IndieGogo et al is out of the question I believe…?

Kickstarter looks to only support the following countries:

United States
United Kingdom
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
Netherlands

Indiegogo is a shithead and doesn't seem to list the countries, just says "blah blah campaigns in 200 countries blah blah, check to see if your country is in the drop down list because we're too lazy to put a list on the website"

However, I started a campaign to see, and Czech Republic is on the drop down list. The let you use EUR, too, if you prefer, but you can only use PayPal then vs a bank account. Definitely no options for the koruna.
Meh.

For that Android Harmoneye app I would suggest adding some parametric band pass filter with adjustable low and hi frequency on the input - that would aid chord detection eliminating zones of hard to analyze noises on frequency spectrum - there is enough space for that at least on my phone ;)
