Here's on of those dumb threads that KVR really loves. I just picked up an ilok for MAX since I'm moving some activities to mywindows machine. I move my activities across different machines too often to bother with C/R.

So, up until now, I've not had an ilok and had no reason to deal with the various hassles, but, Cycling 74 doesn't give me any other choice, so iLok it is!

Consequently, if something required iLok, I just looked the other way, so, I have no idea what ilok plugins are at the top of the heap?

I doubt that I'll buy anything, it's not like I NEED any music gear really, but, don't let that stop you guys from listing every single ilok plugin.

SoundToys Native bundle is a must-have IMO.

I also like Eventide Blackhole, and Sonnox Inflator, SuprEsser, and TransMod, but wouldn't necessarily classify them as "must-haves."

Soundtoys Native bundle is why I have an iLok. Great set of plugins.

That's what i have on my Ilok and can't do without.

I also have Slate Digital VCC but it's not really a must have.

Yep, I also use nearly all of these extensively in most of my tunes.

Also like my Lexicon reverbs, but there are plenty of great alternatives.

I really liked my LXP-15, well, except for the noise, but those Lexicon reverb plugins aren't cheap. I think the LXP plugin is more than what I paid for the used hardware.

Arturia is eLicenser, do they also support iLok? Not that it matters to me, I've had eLicenser since I started with cubase.

Yeah I think they were initially, I picked up the LXP bundle for a pretty reasonable price through Plugindiscounts (was under $200 iirc), they were on sale however. Even the PCM reverb plug-ins have seen huge pricing reductions since Lexicon first put them out on the market. There's some pretty stiff competition though, I mean the Valhalla verbs (which I also use) are excellent.

I'm not saying that they are, necessarily, priced unreasonably, it's just that I'm pretty sure that I only paid about $125 for my used LXP-15. I haven't used it in years. Of all of my hardware, I think that the LXP-15 might be the best candidate for an op-amp upgrade.

MachFive 3 can combine two different kind of analog synthesis (including single cycle wav import) with FM synthesis, normal sampling, two different kinds of granular synthesis (stretch and granular), a drum module, noise generators - it has a very complex modulation system almost as capable as Alchemy's, it supports custom scripting and interface design, has a plethora of onboard FX in high quality, step sequencers, arp, as many LFO's as you like, unison, and whatnot. All this can be combined in a single patch, even with different synthesis forms per velocity layer, zone, or round robin. I don't know of any other instrument that can do all of this in one shell.

iLok must have plugins?
