I have recently moved forward from a Dual Mac G5 running Digital Performer 6 to a PowerMac Running DP 8 with Mavericks. My question relates to the function of a Hui or more correctly a Baby Hui. I see there is some communication as the faders move to 0, the mutes lights lite up and the play light illuminates when I put DP into play with the space bar. None of the buttons on the Baby Hui seem to communicate. Is this a dead issue or is there hope?

HUI + Baby HUI both communicate with the external controller over MIDI so the problem is unlikely to be the OS, since MIDI is working fine on Mavericks.
Sounds more like DP8 is not configured correctly, assuming nothing has changed on the mixer.

One more thing:
Digital Performer is one of the only Mac hosts that uses the connections in AMS (Audio MIDI Setup). That might be a good place to start looking for problems.
