Lol. :hihi: It is. Like most things, it requires perspective.

If Bitwig lives as long and entertains as many people as Rodney did... that will be a huge success. :tu:

Devs themselves don't know what is bitwig, basically nerds decided to make a DAW..... and oops looks like we missed some pretty obvious things, but that's OK, since it's a new code we'll add it.
So it shows that bitwig is going nowhere, all things will be attached with a duct tape, and that's it, they have in their minds some obscure vision of it, something along the lines of being modular, but it looks like they don't know themselves what they're doing and for whom, so they'll keep on adding features, keep on building a DAW from plasticine.
Cubase, pro tools, studio one, they clearly know what they want to add, what they don't, those DAWs are not a mixture of a plasticine and a duct tape.
Sure your plasticine DAW will get features, but honestly to hell such DAW, Bitwig is like Alice in Wonderland, so with such a DAW any kind of miracle can happen in Willy Wonka's plasticine factory, but is it real?.

In this case you either dream of hate.
Me, I got out before the end of a bad movie.
Part one took years and got some good basics. Part Two, modular etc. based on what we see, should take more than anyone, wanting to have a good standard DAW, can afford to wait cause there are already some great tools out there that will be years ahead when all this will, if ever, happen.

My 2c against $400.
