It didn't appear from the live video that he was using any outboard instruments. If not, I wonder what Vst he used for the 303 and the drums, or if he was using samples for the drums.

Can't comment on what he was using but will say I'm super excited about a new album. Been a Plastikman fan since the sheet one / musik era and always enjoyed the Plastikman releases.
Album drops next week and is titled "EX"

Thank you for posting this. I've liked Plastikman and Hawtin's work for a very long time, too. It's going to be nice to hear this new album.

He's always been very open and honest about his use of tech and how he does things. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a behind the scenes video released in the next week or so to promote the album.
In the promo video for that event, he talks about going into the studio and getting enough pre-recorded (new Plastikman) material for the gig, so my guess is a mix of pre-recorded tracks and samples and tons of fx. Good stuff.

Yes, I'd love to watch that video. I'm wondering what he used to create the pre-recorded tracks. Of his earlier Plastikman shows he's said in the past that he used samples of the 808 and 909 in favour of the D16 plugins because he preferred the sound of the samples.Phase47 wrote:He's always been very open and honest about his use of tech and how he does things.
