Why being a hiphop producer sucks

I think it's pretty clear what he's talking about in the article. The "beatmaker" model of producer is living like farmers used to - on credit. "...it’s hardly sustainable. If luck is on your side, one day you get a random call about some beat you emailed to an artist or his A&R rep five years ago, and you’re in business. Otherwise, you’re entire career is working on spec." You may be lucky enough to simply accept a fat check, but until the check is in your hands you have no idea it exists. There is no safety net. You don't know if you're getting paid until you're paid, or possibly not. There is no stability.
"musician."

Oh.
That kind of takes all the romance out of it, doesn't it?

Big up to Skinnyman's producer though:
I'll be surprised -
f**k yeah.
Shit don't get more real than this.
Do you think I'm going to let that ride?
I'm too f**king proud!
Kill me now,
Coz you won't kill me later!
U couldn't make this shit up!

Exactly, cry me a f**king river.but, what a ridiculous article.
It 'sucks' that one of the biggest names in your genre used your track?
I dont even understand their point.
I think that I nailed it, he's saying that Fity's record sounds old, and his beat wasn't on it. Know what I'm saying?lol, this is how he ends the article;
???????The music industry has always been a place where the unexpected happens— entertainment industries are like that; one day the phone magically rings and your life can change— but right now it’s the real wild west. If you’re looking to plan out your music career, it’s impossibly difficult. You’ll just have to cross your fingers and hope something sticks.
I dont think the author even knows what he is trying to say.
