If you have an iLok, certainly. I don't know otherwise.

that's what I was guessing. Thanks for the reply.

None of the Inspector modules will expand now for any track on any song (even new one) now. :c (

Was working fine before..
It's not giving me any problem like that in Cubase.

Ah ok. I sent in a support request in MySteinberg account :hihi:

If you were wondering though.. here is the behavior exhibited: Image

That said, I can click on the 'e' in each track and get to the inserts rack to apply/insert the effect and, sometimes, the tracks will begin to work properly again. very screwy. But I think Steinberg will get it straightened out.

About this plugin: AWESOME. The O-Pressor and the EQ (especially) are quite nice. The micro pitch shift is pretty nice on my limited, non-vocals, tests for fattening sounds without making them metallic or murky and the delay is rather configurable. Very useful plugin. Can't believe they gave us all perm licenses for free to this plugin. :hyper:

Haven't tried this yet, but it looks like an awesome plug. If it sounds as good as I hope, this should really streamline my mixing. Can't believe it's free!

Wohoooo....

Got it hassle-free and it's impressing. Thx so much, Eventide! And the OP.

Anyone know if soundtoys works like this?
For reference, yes, they do. The registration is handled in the same manner. That is, the few that use the software based ilok licensing system.

anyone know if this means they will be releasing the Anthology II bundle as AU/VST ?

http://www.eventide.com/AudioDivision/P ... %20II.aspx

The only reason I'm asking is because this free plugin is from that bundle, but it says it is only available to protools users.

This from an Eventide email March 2014:

"64 bit AAX ports of our plugins in dongle-free form have proven to be more challenging than we imagined and, as it turned out, have required major surgery. In fact, we've done more than simply port the originals, we've also made improvements in sound and robustness. AAX64, AU, and VST 64-bit versions of Blackhole and Factory are in beta now and should be ready for release in a few weeks. The rest of Anthology II will follow this summer. We apologize for the delay but we're doing our best. Thanks for your continued patience and understanding."

Thanks Eventide. Installed and about to give it a whirl. It doesn't look like sidechain is implemented correctly for Fl Studio (missing sidechain inputs in Fl wrapper) but I'm not going to complain. It is free. I listened to a presets demo video online and am impressed. Good stuff. Nice surprise.
Play it by ear

Tough call. At first glance, these sound on a similar quality level, but you get more options with TDR/Slick. The Q-Pressor is smooth and spanky, I gotta say. Delay/pitch is nice.

i love how good slick and tdr works for cleaning up sound. but im looking for 'better'. that is, not similar in sound but better then using tdr and slick. so wondering what processionals think? it would be awesome to replace tdr and slick, but im not looking for a jack of all trades plugin if that's the case, ill just use tdr slick and h-delay.
I don't know, man...both Tokyo Dawn and Eventide are fully pro-standard plug-ins, and all are free. Very hard to say which one is better. Personally, I'm not much of a "channel" guy; I tend to like separate components I can mix and match, but each feature it good on this, and you can rearrange them, apparently. I don't know. I'm going to use all these great tools for now.

I remain amazed, FREE, almost fell off my chair when I saw this in the forum, but when virtually suffered a heart attack was to see the CPU consumption of this beast, all modules off, I repeat absolutely all modules off, it ate 32 percent of my processor on my old 2006 Mac Pro
OK "Audio Suite to the rescue"
Anyway I'm HAPPY! :wheee:

Well I had a go with it and so far the results were pretty immediate when I dialed through a few presets on a drum loop.

It can do some pretty extreme compression styles and the EQ sounds fairly nice. CPU usage seems fairly low for me on my 2.4ghz i7 system, but I never really had more than 4-5 instances at once.

Yeah, FL Studio needs VST3 to recognize sidechain inputs. Same thing with Waves - no sidechain inputs on VST2 plugins but works ok with VST3.
