Re-installed my antique Sonar7 Prod. edition today to get my sticky fingers on Z3ta+ again. The folks at Cakewalk immediately noticed the procedure and it took them only hours to make me an offer... $149 for the upgrade to Sonar X3 Prod.

Huuuu, it's tempting. I'll will not leave Reaper but the included VST(i)s like Dimension Pro, AD2 or Z3ta+2 allure me. In return I could sell some of my plugins (AD1, Melodyne, Rapture...) so it would be more or less exchange of money... plus I'd get loads of FX I'll probably never use (Nomad bundle etc.).

Aaaah, got a problem now I never thought I'd have.

I need consultants...
Hints? Recommendations? Anyone?

If i remember correctly, it's z3ta 1 which is included, not z3ta 2. Unless it's a special offer. Also see here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Versions

Btw, you will only be able to sell your Cakewalk account, if then. Rapture, and other Cakewalk stuff will be bound to your account, you can't sell them individually.

Yep, you're actually right, but the current deal incl. Z3ta2.

Same correct note applies to Rapture. But what I've read from several MP threads it should be ok under certain circumstances (read: no update/fixes for the 2nd hand buyer). I think to adress this by an unbeatable offer...

AD2 on the other hand is a full license dealt by the third party. So no CW selling philosophy is involved.

Yes, but you won't be able to split the items from your account. Say if in your CW account, you have Sonar, Rapture and z3ta 2, you won't be able to de-register Rapture for example, and sell it, because it's bound to the account.

Anyway, good deal, if you get z3ta 2 on top of it, it's a great synth.
