Nice one Tick! Can't wait to try it out!!! So is this the final release and you're just making it available early to us customers....or is it a pre=release testing sort of thing?
Peace!

Peace!

By the looks from the gui the layout appears very clear and intuitive, that list of additions I think will leave users with a real WOW factor.Big Tick wrote:And by popular demand.... here's the list of changes:
- New skin engine, with improved usability
- Presets library
- New default bank with "best of" presets
- New waveforms (130 built-in)
- External Waveforms (load your wav files into Rhino)
- Improved DX7 import
- New filter types (comb and allpass)
- Envelope for filter resonance
- Editor for user control assignments
- Global tuning scale
- Global envelope level
- Keyboard detuning curve
- Oscillator copy (drag & drop)

This is Rhino coming of age and should put a serious need forward for users to purchase this. Right up there above and beyond many other products, and will make quite a unique footing in the audio vsti field. I think you may well have cracked the market again here ‘Tick. I am looking forward to see it’s release and the impact it will have on the life’s of musicians here and everywhere alike. Good work indeed I feel.
I think it’s entered the pre- release stage and made available for early testing by registered users only, by the looks of the forum posts. I think there is a post where it shows the intended actual release date of the full product Here is the quote:TotcProductions wrote:So is this the final release and you're just making it available early to us customers....or is it a pre=release testing sort of thing?

Taken from this threadBig Tick wrote:OK guys,
Rhino 2 is now in "post-beta" phase. That means, it's almost ready for release... However I still want to tweak a few things here and there, so:
- All registered users will have an "early access" in a few days. This will get them a chance to give me feedback, and place some last-minute requests for the official release.
- Rhino 2 will then replace the 1.09 version on the 1st of August.

= hurry up and bring the date forward, August is too long to wait

I don't know how much the update is going to cost - I would hope free - the real big question is not in the update to registered users (as I think this will be free) but how much is Rhino going to go up in price for new users - I am sure what with the intended price hike of Sytrus (which is now in danger of being overtaken big time) will Rhino stay the same price, go up in price to equal other highend synths or even higher still.

Tick, Daniel, Tim, and everyone who has presets in the factory bank....BEAUTIFUL.
Seriously, Tick, this is better than I expected. The sound is gorgeous, and it seems to me (although it may be just my imagination) that the CPU hit is notably lower.
I have got to get my head around this one and learn how to program this better - you all have definitely shown what kind of capabilities this thing has.
And its FREE to registered users!?! This is a real treat, people.
Thanks again
God Bless
JB

Hi Tick,
I love the new menus for the User-defined sliders. Makes things a lot easier.
I'm having trouble with the User-defined wave forms. When I select one, the additive waveform editor does not come up as it used to. Am I missing something, perhaps a new control somewhere?
Cheers,
Steve

This thing is beautiful! What timing! Live4 beta comes out this week and I will be hitting them both to make sure they work well together
I agree, the CPU seems to be more friendly. What I was hearing didn't much up to my CPU meter

I have a problem with the gui not showing up in either FL studio and Cakewalks vst adapter- anayone else. Ironicly for us KVR users it appears that the first 50 by 300 pixels are displayed in each app.

I hope it does go up in price...it's totally worth more than it costed me originally...125 dollars or something like that if i remember correctly...definitely a bargain...and with all the new features, i could see the price of 199 dollars being sufficient. Either way...whether the update is free to reg-users or not, i'll still be updating.
Peace!

Try a rescan...sometimes the Cakewalk adapter loses it with updated versions-it did that with the first WhiteNoise Additive update as well.S_A_P wrote:I have a problem with the gui not showing up in either FL studio and Cakewalks vst adapter- anayone else. I'm not a Rhino owner(yet
If that doesn't work, try the full reset/rescan trip.
