If i had to guess, then i'd say yes, it probably has stopped some people from buying it.zerocrossing wrote: OK, saw it. Weird. I'll never quite get why Tone2 does what it does marketing wise. Do they think that "X" is stopping people from buying their instrument?

Maybe they never planned on releasing a second version and called the original one x because it sounded fancy or implied extra or whatever...

Electra2 sounds as good as DUNE2, but I think DUNE2 is a little rawer. DUNE2 reminds me of a MicroKorg, E2 reminds me of an Electribe.

This may be where I finally re-invest in a tone2 product. I've always liked ElectraX and owned it when it first came out but sold it due to problems that were since fixed. Came lose but I never took the plunge to buy it again. Probably because the dev rubbed me the wrong way on so many occasions. And I would never have more than one of their synths because I think they sound too similar (even though they have very different capabilities), but I do think this is an excellent synthesizer and definitely the most well rounded of their line. It's also insanely low cpu and has full automation of all controls (unlike their subsequent synths). So I'm looking forward to when it comes out, which from what I hear is some time within the the next month or two.

Yeah I didn't mind the old one, but this grey look is nice.Sequent wrote:From the video, it seems that they've toned down the "nuclear" color scheme as well. Seems a lot nicer now.

It's funny the Reverb Infinity... which simulates an "infinitely large room"... an infinitely large room would have no reverberation cause the sound would never reach a wall to bounce off of

Maybe it's a really big room shaped like a mobius strip?

I can tell you that all have different sounds. Electra2 is like butter, as the saying goes. Rayblaster and Nemesis are otherwordly, Gladiator is gritty and Saurus is the oldschool (that can also do new stuff).

Or a toroidal space so moving in any direction loops you to your point of origin. The sound would continue indefinitely, only ever being dampened when it bumped into you. I'd love to play with a reverb plugin that let you mess with the dimensionality of the space or allow you to place wormholes/portals or maybe even simulate hyperspace.BBFG# wrote:+1pdxindy wrote:It's funny the Reverb Infinity... which simulates an "infinitely large room"... an infinitely large room would have no reverberation cause the sound would never reach a wall to bounce off of
