Tried the demo.
Quite broad the possibilities and it sounds good.

I find no pre-delay on SparkVerb???
How to tell current setting pivot on the Voyager??

And how to setup surround in Reaper 4 since there's only 2 channels in the demo??

Post

There is no pre-delay, unfortunately. But I used a manual delay plugin on an Aux track in pro-tools to accomplish this. I too think it sounds pretty good.

The absence of specific predelay has already been discussed and is by design, which doesn't mean there's no pre delay. RoomSize, Shape and diffusion controls have an influence on the actual predelay.

Currently the Preset Voyager mapping is unidirectional, there's no way to know when tweaking knobs, where the current settings is in the space. We may change that in the future.

I'm not expert with REAPER and some people may have better advices about it, but the current VST, AU and AAX supports Stereo, 5.0 and 5.1 formats. In VST Stereo is the default channel setup and maybe REAPER doesn't let you change it.
in most hosts you first create a track with a given channel format then the plugin is automatically configured according to the track's channel format.

Reaper has multichannel track. 6 channels stands for surround 5.1. But
SparkVerb keeps its 2in 2out configuration even inserted into a 6 channels track. Should be automatically changed to 6in 6out.

SparkVerbs VST supports being configured to use any supported formats. Reaper doesn't seem to implement the format negotiation while Cubase does it correctly.

Maybe open the surround in/out configuration as long as Reaper has more than 2 channels?? Manual channel routing in Reaper is easy, however the plug-in needs to switch to multiple in/out instead of 2 in/2 out. Seems a workaround.

I have been trying the Sparkverb demo, but have been trying to come to grips with the lack of an out level control, especially one that is stored with the preset, because the level between bypassed and in is not unity. And, if I have a preset with more dry mix then switch to a preset with more wet mix, the level drops noticeably. I could simply always use it with the mix at full wet and in a send channel, but what's the point of having a mix knob....

What the hell is iLok? I'm not installing anything unnecessary on my computer. Sparkverb is on sale but if I need to install anything, I'm not going to consider. So, is it true that I need to install some weird iLok stuff?

back into the cave

Yeah man, the cave is kinda nicer. But respect my preferences. I'm not installing anything because some company is paranoid. Whatever I bought so far didn't require me to install anything extra, so I'm going to stick with that and support the people who don't treat me like a potential criminal. You can go ahead and adopt every new invention capitalism tosses your way if you want. I respect that.

iLok is new for me and when it was introduced and you guys adopted it, it was new. And there are still newer inventions regarding copyright protection.
