"The love below" by Andre of Outkast is a great album if you have not heard it, it's like the Sgt. Peppers of hip hop. There are some really cool synth sounds in it and I'm wondering if anyone knows what they used, specifically in the songs "She lives in my lap" and "Behold a lady" and "Pink and Blue" and especially the bass synth on "Dracula's wedding". Guesses are cool too because I have no clue :D
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

A recent Sound On Sound interview with their principal engineer mentions the use of Reason, FM7, Absynth, unnamed Spectrsonics products, and the Akai MPC3000. There are undoubtedly others.

Andre 3000 can probably get funky with any damn synth. A lot of the sounds on the album sound cheap and malplacé, but the boy is just so damn funky that it works anyway.

Always hated that Virtual Guitarist on Draculas Wedding, tho :x :x :x
I'm mostly into vintage VSTis.

Computer Music did a walkthrough of "Hey ya" in issue 71 (April) prolly not much use to you as they just farted about with stock samples (Machfive) to get the sounds.
