Here's little bit of lazy guitar to welcome the Summer Soltice. I recorded my Larivée direct with no microphones.
Drums are Dr008 1.21 with Slicy and Fillin.

Nice !!!It's so good to hear jazz at KvR. Interesting spin on this classic. It's almost unrecognizable, yet still there, which is perfect for this song. Only thing I might change is to record the guits through a mic, but it doesn't sound bad at all direct in.
I love it, keep it comin'.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Thanks so much guys. No idea why it is not WMP friendly though I used a constant bit rate of 128kbps and 44.1/16.
Using a microphone would be an improvement but I wanted to see how well the B-band A6 worked alone.

Very cool...
A very good original take on the Gershwin song.
I think I agree with Freeztar that the guitars would sound better recorded with a mic. They sound a bit distorted in places (the lead especially). Is it an acoustic your using? as it kind of sounds like acoustic pick ups (which I never think sound as good). That minor gripe aside I really like this.
Me and the Steelpan player used to go busking in Swansea about 8 years ago and this was one of the songs we played... though in a caribbean, three times the speed, kind of version!

Right the A6 pickups are little dodgy though better than others I have heard. I like teh fact that a balence between the bridge and soundborad can be used. A mic/pickup combination is much better though I don't usually have the quiet enough space to record with the Behringer B2 condensor which does a good job when placed near the 12th fret.
The guitar is a new Larivée LV-05e which I got about 2 months ago for my 50th bd.

It was the Yellow jazz kit - very nice multisampled kit. The beauty of this kit comes through with Slicy and Fillin drummers I think which when I spend some time twaeking are just about as good as a real drummer.

As usual, your time and effort with your percussion tracks show through. I really wouldn't know the difference if you told me that a "real" drummer played on most of your tracks - this was no exception.
guitar sound was very nice. almost a Clapton sound to it. very nice and "chill" track. much enjoyed. you know i'm a rock/metal guy, but great musicianship cannot go unlistened and uncommented on

Glad it worked. I was really trying to see what is the best sound I could out of the pickups
alone. I can only work with a microphone at odd hours so I am pretty satified.
The arrangement is based on rthe version I learned from my teacher Niel Smolar on some very standard changes.
