A delay plugin which can sub-host other FX (say 4 plugin slots or so) , so you could put any FX (chain) in the delay's feedback path you wanted (say a bitcrusher, pitchshifter, whatever).

Objectives noted! Will see if I can come up with something raw and dirty enough for y'all!bharris22 wrote:Something additive, with the ability to modulate individual partials. There are not many (any?) free additive synths . . . .

I thought of another one;
An effect that takes the amplitude of incoming audio and converts it to an assignable midiCC.
Tools exist to do it, but they are are not specialized for the purpose, so lack useful details... (Scale, delay, attack, release, etc..)
A mutliband/frequency sensitive one would be the tits!

I would love to see a really strong synth that could do great acoustic instruments AND classic vintage hardware synths.
It should have the ability to blend several layers of sounds.
The samples should be sampled higher then the majority of current tools, 44.1 is just too low, 96 would be ideal.
Just saying....

Anything except another VA synth! I'm partial to drum synths.

at least something.. i don't think i've ever used it myselfhighkoo wrote: Tools exist to do it

the delay-nesting-vst host is a "mature" idea, i anticipate that accomodating the audio buffer in the delay length has reduced the number of releases but even a simple person like me would find uses for it.

Hey!
Missed that one from you. I will check it out. Thanks.
There are two (BlueCat, JamOrigin) that I currently consider really usable for my purposes. They are fine, but bloated beyond just this use, as well as missing those extra usability features...
(btw, the follower in NI's Molekular seems really nice the bit Ive played with it. I wish it had the extras...)

pretty certain the SE file is jolly simple and would be easy to adapt

I thought I posted my request/suggestion in here awhile ago but I do not see it..
In any case, I suggest something similar.. without the delay.
An Effects plugin that can host other Effects plugins, inserted on different frequency bands
so you take an Equalizer, and at the crossover points are the steps between which one can insert other VSTs
So, as example, a 3 band EQ high, mid, low and, in each band, one can insert 2 or 3 VSTs that would only process those specific frequencies.
Plugin idea comes from Orion's Multiband loader plugin thingy that does this but is hard locked to the host. An open and free VST version would be super.. esp if it is 64bit!

I never tried it, but it sounds like Blue Cat's MB-7 does exactly that!VitaminD wrote:No_Use wrote:A delay plugin which can sub-host other FX (say 4 plugin slots or so) , so you could put any FX (chain) in the delay's feedback path you wanted (say a bitcrusher, pitchshifter, whatever).

Easy for you to say! My fingers are cramping already, still need to solve this monster equation:mystran wrote:There's another month and half, no need to start yet.RunBeerRun wrote:Time is ticking! tick tick tick Your entry isn't going to be ready, work harder, faster! float DC14 = fun * exp((time/(stress*coffee)) + GUI);
Think I should iterate
