Whatsup guys,

Maybe you have not heard of him, but the name: Scott Storch.
Really famous hiphop/rap/rnb/ producer from America.

He says in interviews he is moving his style to EDM, and I read in another interview that he is releasing an ID track. (probobaly spinnin)

I know he is really talented, but he only switched to edm in 2 months. And within 2 months only with socializing and connections getting signed?
What do you guys think of him?

He will make EDM record that sounds like everybody else cause that's the one that sells.

To give him some credit - he's certainly lived (and partied) a fair bit!

(From Wiki)
''Scott made his first big step in his professional music career in 1991 when he became one of the first members of the hip hop group The Roots as a keyboard player. Storch's first big commercial hit was when he collaborated with Dr. Dre and helped produce the riffs for the song "Still D.R.E."...

By 2006, Storch had amassed a fortune of more than $70 million but also picked up a cocaine habit from a Los Angeles friend the prior year... Storch withdrew from producing and focused on partying with friends at his $10 million mansion on Miami's Star Island. Storch also purchased a private jet, a 117-foot yacht (the Tiffany), and bought nearly twenty luxury cars, ten of which Storch estimated he purchased while high on cocaine. Storch squandered $30 million in less than six months, and was in financial straits by January 2007.

His addiction had tapped his inspiration to make music, and other artists took notice. In one instance, Storch left Janet Jackson at the studio waiting for him for ten hours. In 2008, Storch hit legal trouble after reportedly falling behind on both his child-support payments and his property taxes. In early 2009, he was arrested for grand theft auto for allegedly failing to return a Bentley he had leased three years prior. In April 2009, Storch checked into an intensive inpatient rehab program in Hollywood, Florida, and filed for bankruptcy that May In February 2012, Storch was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of cocaine and was released on bail.''

Fair play.

f**k Spinnin' Records, f**k Revealed Sounds, f**k two note melodies with pitchbends at the end of each phrase, f**k people who show off their collection of status symbols on Cribs, f**k materialistic money men "playing" at music and polluting the landscape.

Well, you asked :)

Now I've been listening to Hip Hop for my whole life (occasionally), and I didn't know yet that there's a Hiphop God! :o :dog:

I like how the title is in capital letters, because this thread seems a lot more credible than all the other pointless threads. If man was a god, first of all he'd be instantly dead, and second of all making only music as basic melodically as hip hop would be a lackluster attempt.

Remember, if you want to perform hip hop you can't have mastered elementary school grammar.
