OK guys,
Rhino 2 is now in "post-beta" phase. That means, it's almost ready for release... However I still want to tweak a few things here and there, so:
- All registered users will have an "early access" in a few days. This will get them a chance to give me feedback, and place some last-minute requests for the official release.
- Rhino 2 will then replace the 1.09 version on the 1st of August.

and there will be a new bank or two to show off the new features?
summer in these parts is short and most of May it rained
still I look forward to spending this time with this release inside with headphones -- maybe on the patio

Yes, the included default bank is new, and is made of new presets from Daniel, and "best of" presets from the other banks.wrench45us wrote:and there will be a new bank or two to show off the new features?

BTW: just a sugg...for the new default bank, if you could include "Nenya" from my bank 4, that would be great. It's an FM patch and really demonstrates another aspect of the Rhino sound. I actually use this patch a lot in my own music.
BUT: whatever you guys decide is fine with me and looking forward to new Daniel sounds!!

Tim,
actually some of your presets (Orbit, Deep Galaxies, Desert Winds, ... to name a few) are already included in the default bank. But let me check Nenya and I'll replace the weakest sound I can find in the current default.

i am having a issue with the rhino beta installation and config on my system. this is not rhino's fault, as the beta install process relies heavily on end user knowledge (which i lack)
. my symtoms are as follows...
only patches with raw output produce sound; those using the filters do not. on each patch using filters, they always load in the "off" setting. when i click the filter tab to correct this, i get a core dump in the host
.
i see this in both frooty and sonar. it is odd, because previous versions of the beta were working for me. the odd behavior just started recently, around version 2g or so.
any thoughts on what i might be doing wrong
