I purchased Studion One 2 Producer in the market place here some days ago, and so far the impression is really, really positive. Everything i knew from Cubase Elements is in place (actually mostly in the SAME place
), and many functions are even enhanced, e.g. the midi editing tools with description of the shortcuts when you right click. Also it has the easiest to use implementation of sidechaining for the host compressor i've ever seen in any host, really straight forward stuff even me as quite a DAW noob is able to use without checking out the manual even. I really liked the installation and setup process also, very straight forward installation of soundsets (finally a host where you can choose whether you want to install soundsets, and which soundsets and addons you want to install), and the options menu doesn't overwhelm you with gazillions of options, but is restricted to only a handful of points. I also like the nice implementation of midi mapping using the control link function. Cubase's system was a complete PITA compared, really easy stuff in Studio One.
