Version 120RC2? So we had a beta for the last year or so, now we've moved up to a release candidate! Maybe a "final" in 2016?

Glad they haven't abandoned the Blofeld though. Won't have time to update till tonight- does it come with any notes about what was fixed or changed?

I'd used Spectre in the past. New computer/OS since the last time I updated firmware. Downloaded Spectre again, and it won't even load (Windows 7).

All there is in the download is the .mid file. No mention of it on their forum or anywhere else on their site. No one else seems to be aware of it- did you just happen to check the site and see it D-Fusion?

Can't use Live to send it, tried with Reaper and it gave me an error that it couldn't import the MIDI file.
Guess I'll have to dig out my ancient XP laptop so I can run Spectre...

No. I was just checking the Waldorf Blofeld page on Facebook and saw that it was just released

They don't know what is new either so i guess we will know when they release a news letter on it later.

SPECTRE runs on W7 splendidly. I've just updated my Blofeld over here using it.

Windows 7 64 bit?
It won't even start for me-crashes immediately.
System requirements only mention XP and Vista, cause it's that old.

Same here (Win 7 64bit) with no problems.
Hope they release some info about the new firmware soon since i can't find out what is fixed or added yet.

Hmm, just downloaded it this AM, seemed to install normally, yet I tried 3 times and it won't run. Oh well.
Running or not, "splendid" isn't really a word I associate with Spectre, but I guess if it gets the job done....

For those on Windows who use a DAW which doesn't send SysEx (such as Live) you will need something like MIDIBar to play the MIDI file which contains the firmware.

Install http://www.midiox.com and it will install MIDIBar along with it.

Waldorf Blofeld has got a new firmware update :)
