I find myself only able to use this plugin as an offline processor as a lot of the time when I put it in as a real time insert i find the levels fluctuate too much.
For example, I like to use it on my kick channel which has all kicks set to the same velocity but every couple of bars or so a few of the hits will be a lot loud than the others which renders it useless.
Does anyone else have this issue?

Yeah I've seen it. There's not much to it. There's only 2 knobs. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or is it just my system?

did it happen always? i mean with midi triggered kicks and samples? did it happen inside a song or when you loop a sequence?

Mine is solid, never had a problem with it.

I've tried both midi triggering and samples. It's both song and loop mode. I know what your thinking about the loop mode, it may be the loop point, but it's not.
I was hoping it was something I was doing wrong. Where do most people insert it in their chain? I normally put it first. Should I be putting a high pass before it?

does it happen when all three knobs are on zero also?

I haven't had this problem, either.

If you're boosting transients, I'm wondering if that's causing a problem with a downstream plugin (after the SPL) in your FX chain. Have you tried disengaging the plugins that come after it to see if the problem goes away?

no problem. i dunno.. ..i can only think of some sort of pumping which occurs when the release time is so long that, when the next note is played, the plugin is still active and thus the new note is not compressed in the same way as the one before. but then again the plugin is so easy to use that i really can't believe that this could be the problem but when you said that with initial settings there's no problem it only can be an user error?

maybe another plugin in yur chain?

It's nowt to do with the chain as the issue occurs even when there's no effects afterwards.

Well at least I've established that this is not regular behaviour, coz I was also thinking that it may be the algo being too sensitive to some material.

I'm now thinking of downloading the vst2 version as I've only downloaded the vst3 one, just to see if that makes a difference. Maybe I'm clutching at straws?

I come back to this thread once in a while when I forget why I decided to ditch my transient designer. I have always had this issue with SPL, to this day. I tried VST2 but that did not fix it for me. I tried both 1.8.4 and 1.8.5. Bitwig 3.2.1 MPB 2018 Catalina. The not pro version is no longer being updated.
EDIT: I tried the trial of the new pro version.. same issue..
