I'm not from Glitchmachines but in the description is written that the sale ended on June 8th (and had been started on June 1st)!michael2 wrote:weird, it won't let me apply the code for the discount. anyone from glitch machines on here?

Yeah, looks like the sale has ended but the effect is well worth it even at the regular price. Very nice plugin!!

Agreed...ZenPunkHippy wrote:Yeah, looks like the sale has ended but the effect is well worth it even at the regular price. Very nice plugin!!
Although I bought it during the sale, I can definitely say it's worth the $49. I wish there was a demo because I think you could be easily convinced of the same.

No demo = no purchase here.
Might be good but I've got no way of knowing. I'm not going to take other people's word for it, and audio demos are about as useful as an underwater birdcaller to me for something like this.

+1
It looks interesting but need try demo. It is not even about the doubts in functionality, but it is important to know just how good optimization (or also for check if everything is can automated or not) and possible compatibility problems.

I run QUADRANT on win7 64bit and Cubase Artists 8 and on an Win10 hypermodern PC with vPlayer for testing. It runs absolutely stable and it is a beast soundwise. It´s like turning knobs on a hardware Doepfer for example. Feels so good and sounds awsome. Can´t recommend enough. As I understood Ivo is planning to implement new modules in the future and they are thinking about a sampler module...imagine the possibilities. First of all I use QUADRANT for the sheer joy of listening to pure noise sound-design. Love this thing and I am so much looking (waiting patiently) for a new update.

Currently $5 on PluginBoutique. What's the consensus these days? Is there anything notable I can do with this that I can't with Full Bucket's ModulAir? I feel like GlitchMachines pair of free plugins (Fracture and Hysteresis) with any other modular synth makes Quadrant fairly redundant. Am I missing something?

Can´t compare to ModulAir at all. ModulAir is a more traditional synthesizer. You can use wavetables as well. The guy who makes it is specialized on emulating analog Korg synths (his free ones are far more cooler sounding than any other payed Korg VSTs) and you hear that on ModulAir too.willsavino wrote:Currently $5 on PluginBoutique. QUADRANT is a totally different and distinct sounding beast with the typical GM-character to it. It´s cool because you can send any audio through it. It mainly works as an insert effect and layed it on a pad or a granular sampler output you can add real cool texture to pep up the sound in a subtle way or in a brutal distroying way. It adds fine efx and delay to drums too if you like. Although it is constructed as an insert effect it has audio rate modules and can be self-triggered as well. So it can also be used as a little modular synthesizer.
5 EUR? I wouldn´t feel so good with such a "steal". It´s really worth supporting Ivo from Glitchmachines directly. He makes unique things since years and the support is important for further development like updates (Quadrant may have new modules some day) or the latest entry to the Glitchmachine ensemble, PALINDROME which is an awesomely unique and endless cool granular morphing sampler.
Have joy!

Sure, he deserves support but the sale wouldn't be happening without his approval obviously, so...I'm grabbing this at the sale price. Great plugin!

Grabbed it at the sale price, excellent little effects unit. One question though, on the Plugin Boutique site, the download is named as v1.2 but the installer mentioned v1.1. What’s the correct version?
