I generally don't stream music, I buy it. And I strongly prefer buying albums over EPs, and don't buy singles at all.

Bandcamp or the equivalent if I happen to find it first or think of it. Otherwise, eMusic or Amazon. I tend to keep a wishlist at Amazon but will look for things at eMusic if they have them.

I'm considering canceling my eMusic subscription or suspending it though. While albums are cheaper there than Amazon, I often wind up getting stuff just to use up my monthly subscription, rather than because I really want it. As a result I think I wind up spending more there than I would at Amazon anyway. I've got more than enough quantity and should be a bit more selective.

I don't use any streaming stuff. I buy CDs from Amazon, and sometimes direct from the musician or their distributors.

The only mp3 downloads I've purchased came paired with CD purchases. In the last 7-9 years, I got lots of free music off of Internet Archive, and various other musicians' websites (sometimes buying from the same musicians when they sold their stuff on CD, between free releases).

I prefer buying albums, not singles. I've bought maybe two or three individual songs off iTunes Store in 9 years, only because those tracks were otherwise unavailable on normal albums. I prefer physical copies, with artwork, though I do put much of my purchased music in my iTunes library/iPhone for convenience.

Modern music is so bad that I hardly ever want to have anything. I have bought most of my favorite songs from my 100 or so albums that got destroyed in a flooding. Mostly 80s stuff. I always buy from 7digital as I avoid Apple, Amazon, etc. on principle.

Being old-fashioned and on an Internet access with limited traffic, I don't like streaming. I want to buy a song and then have it on my computer, USB drive or wherever and listen to it as often as I wish, offline.

Controversial and honest!!!

Listen to mainstream radio in the car mainly to and from work. Love listening to radio when travelling abroad for the vibe. Now and again listen to internet radio, have a wide variety of links from many sources.

More recently listen to individuals soundclouds and have downloaded quite a bit that I have enjoyed. Never delved into Bandcamp. I do like to get a lot of personal remixes that you couldn't obtain elsewhere.

Refuse to pay for digital downloads (this applies for books as well)...however if it's an indie I may support them. Itunes, beatport, amazon have become to vicious and incomprable for the individual label/artist.

Refuse to buy from Amazon (this also goes for books)...destroying the chance of independents (see digital downloads above).

Used to buy CD's, find them a waste of money unless from a boot sale/second hand and cheap, unscratched.

Got a lot of mp3's from a wide variety of sources...if I like it and it's available on Vinyl I buy it. Love it when Rudimentals Home was released on vinyl...managed to get a copy or two!!!

However I DO have approximately 2000-3000+ vinyls from 7" to 12"and albums. Don't care what anyone says but that is how I VALUE my music. Call it nostalgic, obsessive or normal. There is something I like about the tangible handling of playing a record. The recent resurrection of vinyl releases has been great but you do need to be selective and know where they are coming from ie pressing house and production...some sticky profitable shortcut suppliers. You can not beat wondering into your local record shop and doing some digging or trawling a car boot sale at 6.30 in the morning on a Sunday lol. You name the artist and if they've released vinyl (mainly UK/American artists) I will propbably have it...still got to get me some Conway Twitty though! Family Guy anyone...

I still have,but not many (50 or so) cassettes from yesteryear...oh how I loved the TDK C90!!

I used to have this expensive cassette, love the way it looked, was really heavy, made of cast iron or something like that.

But oddly did not sound as good as cheaper cassettes to my ears. I preferred the sound of my cheap Scotch cassettes.

I miss cassettes... When there was something interesting on the radio, you just hit rec and you had it for decades to come...

Stream from Spotify, Pandora, hell, even Amazon stores the mp3's I buy in the cloud, so I stream from there too.
Occasionally I'll buy a cd if I really like the artist, but I've got boxes of cd's and I'm too lazy to go digging through them to find something.

I mainly listen to Spotify, Grooveshark and many Internet radios because I need a different music every day (depending on my mood and certain events) and cannot afford truckloads of CDs... I bought my last CD a few years ago...

I'm all over the place. Depends.

Saturday and Sunday mornings with the family I'm probably on Pandora or maybe iTunes radio. Apple has to step up it's game though as Pandora is way better in creating stations from my suggestions. I do like the Apple ambient station though and it's nice that it takes my photos and displays them via our Apple TV.

If I'm a big fan of someone, I'll just buy their CD. Usually via Amazon. If it's something old, especially if I've owned it previously in vinyl, I'll buy a used copy.

If I'm less a fan but interested in an album or a few tracks, I'll go to iTunes.

To be honest though, Apple has been really bugging me lately. That's another story though.

Every now and then I'll check Spotify. Mostly just to check out an artist I never heard of. I did this more when I was working full time and much less now that I'm a stay-at-home dad with some contact gigs.
