I have a relation whose teenage daughter has loaded Kazaa onto the computer, and now the mother would like to FULLY remove it from her PC. Other than doing a 'full re-boot off the CD-ROM' - is there any other 'easier' way by going into certain folders and deleting certain things Kazaa installs?

I don't know much about Kazaa, other than it's not good to have on a computer you do business on! :-o

Thanks in advance! :D

Most programs put something into Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. You tried looking in there? That's the easiest way if they're in there. You can also look in the program group on teh start menu and see if there is an Uninstall bit in there as well. One of those two will usually get rid of whatever rpogram you installed. If there is neither, than if you pick defaults, most programs go into the Program Files directory as well. If you're ultra paranoid, you can go into regedt32, and do Find for keywords, and delete the keys. Beyond that, if you're even MORE paranoid, whack the drive and start from scratch.

Uninstall Kazaa from Add/Remove programs then run a full C:\ drive scan using softs such as Adaware/SpySweeper in order to remove all the crap that Kazaa installs with it. Make sure you have the latest definitions on your ad/spy removing software before scanning.
I recently performed a test...installed Kazaa and then ran Spysweeper right after. You wouldn't believe the amount and variety of crap Kazaa installed on my computer.
For future reference, there is an ad-free version of Kazaa called Kazaa Lite Resurrection....google it :)

Another vote for Ad-Aware. I've not familiar with SpySpeewer, but Ad-Aware has updateble database.

Very nice tool. My "hi-score" is somewhere near 700 hits(beat that).

I'm also enjoying the new version of Spybot Search And Destroy Version 1.3. Nice new tools that block additions to your registry, and lets you know when cookies that you probably dont' want are being added to your machine.

Will check those out as well, thanks! :D I like the Spy Sweeper site in that it gives a good rundown of what exactly Kazaa is, and a good 'step by step' instruction on how to remove all the crap. She's not PC savvy like you guys (nor am I FTM  )

But if she still has troubles, I'll point these out to her. ;)
