Hello,
First off all thank you for listening.
I'm a newbie trying to make some synth music.
After my slow creepy sci-fi theme in the contest I'm working now on this up tempo "song".
http://users.pandora.be/joenco/hero.mp3
It's not finished yet but I would like to get some advice on things like EQ and mastering.
As I have a soundblaster the MP3 is 48 khz and this sounds good on my PC. Should this bitrate matter on other PC's?
Thank you for your time.

"Your skils are good. It is indeed the pro."
it´s just me ... i am thus
"but you should take time with it ..."
i mean , how long did you take to do this sample ?
it works very well , i believe it worths to take more time with it , elaborating it
Eq and mastering ... (well again ... ) i´m not an engineer ... but i think it´s working quite well too

A few quicky's since I'm off to work in a bit.
the bitrate: most people here use 128 kbs or more since most anything under that (and certainly 40kbs) tends to cut a lot of the sound giving a very lo-fi feel.
Kick: it was rather strange to hear the kick panned to the left, rather then mid-stereo where it usually sits; unless you had plans to double it.
the music; not bad at all, but sofar you have one melody line. try some variations and progressions through time and basically bring in some song-structure.
the making; one advice - have fun in music-making and enjoy what you are doing. That is the best recipe for music
