Please update Spire to v1.0.17
Changes:
- Fixed: Logic X crashes
- Fixed: Program change when Spire window is closed
- Fixed: Compatibility with old hosts (Cubase SX3, Sonar 8 )
- Fixed: Some small improvements

I asked at the official forum but not much going on there so I'll try here:
I noticed that oscs 1-4 can be used as mod sources in the mod matrix. I tested these out modulating the pitch of other oscs to see how it worked as FM and gave some cool fmish results. What confused me was that the sound didn't seem to change when I altered the modulator osc controls like pitch or waveform. These usually have a huge effect when modulating another osc.

What's going on there?

Oscillator knob values 1-30 is useful when being used as a modulator.

What's the oscillator knob? What parameter are you talking about? What is the actual modulator, the waveform of the oscillator? Why does pitch have no effect?

The Main knobs labeled OSC1 - 4 at the top. Turn one from to a value of 1-30 as displayed directly above them.
Select this oscillator as a source in the matrix. chose any target.

Oh the oscillator volume knobs are the modulators? I don't really understand how this works or what signal it is exactly since it doesn't get effected by changes to the oscillators themselves. And where does 1-30 come from? What does that range mean? Sorry I couldn't find anything about it in the manual.

Holy crap. Really a shame the candy kids got a hold of this thing. Makes me want to put it down and never pick it back up.

Any way we can make the gui bigger? That would be lovely to my old eyes.

Ha! Gotta agree with you there. It's a very fine synth, capable of so much more than a lot of the patch banks that are available for it would indicate.

Too many "Big room" presets. Spire is capable of very very diverse synth sounds, it can do analog, digital, modern, retro, simple, complex, whatever we want. When I hear EDM record, I think: can I do this with Spire? Most probably, yes, I just have to nail the settings, Oscs, Filters, particularly EQ and Compression, it's all there, takes a couple of twists. And not only EDM.

Guys, what do you think about the sound coming out of the Spire? Some of my fellow producers say its a bit thin...but I dont hear that in videos for preset packs? :/
