peejunk - did a search of all your posts; no tunes available I see. Yet you sure seem to have plenty of negativity to say about others' tunes...

no-signal - again, did a search and found two links in the locked thread. Listening to one of them now (the first one) and I have to say 'formulaic', sorry - and I quite like good trance. Some very awkward chord changes in there though, but by your own admission you don't even make music anymore.

So, I'm, just wondering with you 3: other than getting all uppity with talented musicians, why are you here?
Serious question time. :?

I think they've just received lesson one in KvR-native customs

That's because there aren't a dozen threads here about how much metal/jazz/smiths/R&B/C&W suck. No wonder the tranceheads are touchy.

I thought "Sweetness" was hilarious, BTW, but maybe you should do "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" next...
Errrr....

park the car at the side of the road.....

Smiths Suck! Smiths Suck! Smiths Suck! Smiths Suck! :P Johnny Marr is formulaic guitarist. He just rips off The Byrds!!!

No, none currently up. I don't think very big about my music, if that's what you mean, but ok, I'll upload some of them somewhere and you can slate all you want.

Anyway I don't think I was negative about someones tunes, well at least not the tunes that they them self take seriously obviously, I was negative about their intentions with the tunes. I think there is a big difference.

Well, you see, I'm not that petty.
Please post your tunes, yes.
If I don't like them, I'll simply not comment cos I find that to be the best policy.
Not everyone makes music I like, but just cos I don't like it doesn't give me the right to say anything negative unless it's constructive, so I prefer to only comment on music I like.

And, don't worry, you're not the only person here who's not posted music yet - but most people seem to know how to conduct themselves.

If I like your music, I'll say so. No matter my personal opinion on some, if not most, of your posts.

Sometimes it's a service to our fellow man to let them know when they have taken themselves too seriously with thier music. On the other hand, you seem to take seriously something no-one else sees as anything besides a good laugh, then start spouting all this non-sensical genre fitting in a lathe cutting formulaic egyptological alchemical bullshit.

There's no formulae to music, at least one that MUST be conformed to by any standerds. The only formulae I see in effect are ones that stifle creativity & seek to bludgeon new artists to fit the mold of someone else. If you wanna live in the restrictions of someone else's box, have at it. I mean who really wants to be defined by the genre they fit into? Not a true artist, IMO. I'm not gonna bend over backwards to make sure my music fits into ANY cookie cutter scheme; especially when I have Godflesh, Golden Palaminos, Sting, Obituary, NIN, Black Sabbath, Gary Numan, Eye hate God, Sleep, Depeche Mode, & Fu Manchu all burned on the same disc.

You ever heard of genetic diversity? It's a survival trait almost all social animals have. If they resolved themsleves to the gene pool exclusively available within thier own community, they wouldn't last more than a few generations. I don't know music theory, & I don't WANNA know music theory. All I know is I like what I like & I don't live in genres, but ppl that take great pains to conform within a specific label fall under my radar as targets for more reasons than the music they make...

Think about it.

EDIT: You wanna apply formula to I dunno..Frank Zappa maybe?

I'm sorry if I somehow offended donkey tugger. I thought he intentionally made something that he thinks is crap just to make fun of trance music (which, and I repeat, isn't really my cup of tea at all).

Well obviously, even this joke-track shows that he is indeed a talented musician (and an even better producer, mixing is really great and clean for a novelty track that prolly no love has been put into).

This is not asskissing. I didn't want to come out like a inflamatory, hating c**t, I just thought that joke wasn't funny because I have watched how these people who aren't in the forum's aristocracy (or share their opinions) are being ridiculed.

I certainly didn't mean by that that he's a bad musician (even by that track I got impression that he's probably more skilled than me, because I certainly wouldn't done even that good just for jokes).

Ok. Can we go home now?
