Mr. Andrews was killed taking an assassins bullet. He died a hero. He was in a band in the 70's called the Archies.

Well he isn't really dead, just in that alternate universe that they created from what I'm aware of. A lot of Archie comics do spinoff alternate universe plots, so I imagine they just did that to gather a bit of buzz. A few years later they will create a different Archie alternate universe where he'll be something else yadda yadda

as a small kid I couldn't wait to get the new Archie comic, then I discovered/grew into MAD magazine. TBH I didn't even know they were still making them until I saw this on the news
