The Games begin with the call for entries in the Inagural track competition. This track will set the tone for the summer electronic music games.
We have accumulated over $12,000 in prizes for the games and we're expecting this to be a very fun and challenging event for musicians across the globe, so stop by and sign up!

Basically we're looking for a track that's made up of elements from different genre's. We're going to use the winning track as a theme for the rest of the games, so we want something that covers a lot of ground. We're planning on giving away one of the big prizes on this one.geeseaplenty wrote:Could you elaborate on this a little more?

Good question. Smart, how will the prizes be determined - for instances what if one wins a prize that they already have, or one that doesn't work with their host?
Not that I plan on winning any.

HERE I find this:
The Inaugural Track – To start off on a humorous note, musicians will initially be required to make a spoof remix of the quintessential sports-related soundtrack “Eye of the Tiger”. Entries will be judged based on originality and humor.
And HERE I find this:
The 2004 Summer Electronic Music Games are upon us. Let’s begin by calling to the community to enter our "Inaugural Track" competition. This track will define the theme of the games and be the background music for everything that’s going to happen this summer.
With this in mind .. our winner will be chosen by the following criteria:
The track must include a progression and a chorus
The track must be over 4 minutes long
The track must represent electronic music as a whole family of genres
The track must not contain any samples or lyrics under copyright
The track must be uploaded as an mp3 at 192kbps
The track source must be made available upon request
So, which one is it?

the prize list is so impressive, and the games will be heaps of fun. can't wait for things to really get going!
I think you'd be nuts for not signing up with that many prizes
