Yep, me too after I bought a new computer in 2012. I was sceptical at first but soon noticed that 7 is way better than XP in practically all regards.
I still configure it so it looks like windows 2000 though, but I did that with XP too because I could never stand that cheap candy color look and all the animated FX and background stuff. Hate that. Blueish background, simple window decorations, fine with me. Everything else distracts from work.

Never change a running system.
XP works fine for me, W7 on my (newer) notebook is slower in many situations.
And "MS support end"? As long as there are updates for Avast, Firefox, VLC, Flash Player, and the firewall in my router keeps working, what should I be afraid about?

Still using XP 32bit a lot, here.
It's doing the job fine for my audio computer (which was designed to be as small as possible in order to be sort of portable).

For the hardware it's running on, it's quite the lightest windows available.

I also use it for my virtual machines.

For my main computer I use Win7 x64, and it's doing a very good job.
