Steinberg's update/upgrade politics made me sell Cubase ... in this case i couldn't even sell Groove Agent 3. not even the upgrade price from EZ-Drummer v1 to v2 is so steep, though it's full of new and innovative features.
¡Adios!

I have to admit that since this announcement last week, I've been viewing all the preview vids (beat agent/acoustic agent) and getting more impressed by the minute. Then I went back and started working with GASE4 more and really digging it even more. I even use it as a trigger for melodic sample slices to get even more interesting solos, etc. Very easy to use.Guillermo Navarrete wrote:Hello,
It will be available as a download and as a box version.Rommelaar wrote:Will the full version that arives in August be available through dowload or do I need to buy the box?
Yes, it will.BERFAB wrote:
And will it be discounted through 3rd party retailers?
Best regards,
GN
From what I've seen, the additional features and added content really make upgrading worth the asking price. Can't wait to get my hands on this.
Cheers

Interesting, I still have the Groove Agent 1 CD which doesn't even install on Win7. Is this upgrade path somehow time limited?Guillermo Navarrete wrote: We are offering it now for Groove Agent 1 and Groove Agent 2 users.

If you are in the US, it is better if you use the support request form on your MySteinberg account.spikey wrote:Well I have sent 2 emails with a request for info on where to send the disc, on 2 different days with no replies. I guess they are kinda over whelmed atm..

Day one purchase for me. "I am counting down the days ...". I agree with the chaps above that the Steinberg line-up of instruments is very strong and good.BERFAB wrote:+1lotus2035 wrote:Definitely buying this.
Cubase 7.5, Halion 5 and this will be quite the trio. Well done Steinberg.
With Padshop pro and Retrologue rounding out the instrumentation, it really is quite an arsenal.

Given their recent track record, I remain confident that whatever they bring to the table next will be well thought-out and essential.Rajah wrote:Rommelaar wrote:

Well, got it over 40 hours now... But it will take a lot more time to really get a grip on this monster... This is a huge instrument.. Noticed some elements of Geist and Jamstix here..
But what I can gather so far, Steinberg might have set a new standard when it comes to workflow in virtual drumming.. ...
So far, I am VERY impressed..

We'll thanks for that info. I've sent my disc after replying to my steinberg and receiving the info, and it's been a week. I should see an upgrade email soon from the home office...Guillermo Navarrete wrote:Hello,

So Groove Agent 4 is being released to the masses on Wednesday according to the original press release. But I haven't seen it listed in any 3rd party retailers yet.
Can anyone comment on what kind of discounts might be available on this puppy, and when? Uncle E? You out there?
Cheers
