It was acceptable in the 80's :hihi: Someone spent a lot of time and money on that dubious production.

Nice one Paul :tu:

Had a chance to listen, that's a good pop tune! :)

Voted! Finally got around to listening and commenting on all the tracks. Awesome job everyone! It was really fun listening to them. Some really great songs and interesting talent in there. Looking forward to entering again in the future. :)
Peace,
Tim

Okay, voted...

Also, anyone who wants any constructive criticism from me, feel free to send me a PM.

... and I finally got around to watching that Synthicide! video... I had to LOL a bit at it.

And since we don't vote in the forum and have reviews much these days, here are some mini-reviews, whether you want 'em or not! :phones:

Bblunt Productions - Tall Up
Good arrangement, nice syncopation, good percussion

fairplay - Sto-1-Step
Really nice lead sound & percussive elements

DoctorBob - The Grass is Blue
Another totally unique example of music we don't normally hear in OSC, sounds pretty much like a lot of the bluegrass music I've heard, good sound design, composition, mixing, and a fast entry, to boot

EDGEK8D - The Walk Home
Lovely chords, nice melody, super groovy, interesting variation/automation throughout

Deisss - KVTal
Awesome outro - great bass sound

ImNotDedYet - Oh No Not Again
Groovy track, nice kick, snare and other percussive elements; well timed breakdowns & builds

Moldavsky - Pavor Nocturnus In 8 - Bit Realm
Another track I can't classify, cool use of high-pitched noises as percussive elements, totally unique, good automation throughout

Psmacmur - Space Kerjigger
Nice percussion, fx sounds & arps, dig the distorted melody thing near the end

CymaticCreation - Signal
Well put-together track, very long but constant variation kept interesting the whole time and never boring, awesome sounds, great soundscapes, astounding FX, moving melodic elements, good drums

Jay F. - Slowly Along The Railway Line
Nice coherent track, amazing build, great 'orchestral' sounds, very moving composition

Spirit - Marooned In The Methane Swamps Of Titan
Eerie vibe fits the theme perfectly, really nice use of FX to set the atmosphere

Doc Jon - Model Car Prayer Dub
Unusual OSC style executed very well, good sounds; so good to see you in the OSC again, mate :)

Pulse Width Modulation - Venice Beach Detective
Classic 80s sounds for a classic 80s track, those toms remind me of Mega Man 2 on the NES, such fond memories. :)

Oorlab - Fluss Fliesst
Really like the fx used all over the track, nice kick drum

besh - Lab Ssab
Cool, unqiue percussion; entire track has unique elements all over the place, nice sound FX and melodic bits; really dig the uniqueness of the tracks you make

SirKey - BassLife 101
Fitting title - nice bassline right off used well throughout the track, clear mix

Yeager - Room 101
Great use of the 101's filters, arpy goodness, great chords, strong percussion

Dreamcube017 - OSC Bassline Carnival
Really nice sounding videogame-esque track, good chords, good parts, really just wish this was longer

Totolitoto - 101th Dream
Nice track with a lot of interplay between the parts, good use of small FX builds to keep things interesting, nice sounds overall

lemmike - Tokyo Slowfox
Best sound in the OSC, hands down... that THX thing :) groovy basslines, nice melody stuff & fx, nice sorta dubby bits, and for just a sec the best couple chord changes of the OSC :)

Oxebe - Goenema
Crazy build-up for the whole track, it seems; once it finally hits, the last part is really good melodic stuff, awesome use of FX to make really interesting textures all over the place

vitalker - Uncertainty
Best noise woosh in the compo (that's a big thing!!), good breakdown, nice unique percussion noise, too

Mysticvibes - Geometric Sunshine
Definitely the longest track, which normally is a bad thing but not this time - so much variation throughout makes it a pretty damn perfect sounding psytrance track, a few of the melodic lines are really great to me

MTLE - Last Minute
Really great track for having a day on it! :)

Skyzone - Lost In SPACE
Nice synth work, as always; super dreamy track, like the arpy chords & pingy extras

Chilled Panda - You Wind Me Up
Nice themed track with a cool sound to back it up, really nice lead when it comes in

Bh9090 - Greaseman
Lovely melody, awesome mix, great percussion, distorted guitar-esque patch very appealing

J.Ruegg - InmorTAL
Really nice melody, true to the genre / era basslines, high strings & drums, good clear mix

Denstrow - Shameless 101
Nice example of a typical 101 use, appealing melodies & sounds, nice percussion, sounds like I would expect a typical psy/goa track to, really dig the detail on the vibrato thing

H-Man - On Towers
Really like the variation in sections a lot (okay, well, that's me... you know how my tracks go...), really pretty breakdown, nice sounds you got out of TBL, like the high-pitched stuff a lot, also nice percussion

Orboscope - Crusaders Of The Sonic
Super-fun track, crazy fast, video game-ish in a good way (I love some good video game sounds!), lots of good sounds and musical elements all over the place

I too have voted, although I reserve the right to go through and change a couple here and there as I'm hoping to find the time to give everything another listen before the deadline.

This was really fun. I'm def doing it again.......plus taking a break from my regular obsessive music making to do something different was great. I'm all Mac/AU so no submission from me this upcoming month.

Lots of really high quality entries. Very impressed with several of the submissions.

See you guys again soon!
Logic Pro X : Prophet Rev2, Blofeld, Toraiz-AS1, Model D, Minibrute, MOTU 828x, Presonus Eris E7's, dozens of pedals

Voted. Very interesting to hear all the variations from the 101. This group of tracks will surely be the best demo bank for TAL!

It was indeed awesome. If you look back in 2011 most people left reviews like this... but the system changed
