Well I am not driving now...
I tried installing another plug in and then running the adapter. It too did not show up in the list. I then uninstalled a plug in that I was not using, it was listed in the vst menu. After a rescan with all the boxes checked. I checked the menu and the plug in was still there, I also check to see if it was excluded. There was nothing in the list. I then got the cd out and reinstalled Sonar and the adapter. Nothing seems to work.

But have you done a reset of the adaptor?
And are you sure the plugins are in the same directory tree as the adaptor is actually scanning?
(BTW, deleted plugins -wont- disappear from the Sonar menu unless you exclude them, or do a reset)

ok ok I feel as if I am almost there.
Thanks for your time...
For what ever reason I did not press the reset all button. Now that I have reset everything. What next?
I rescaned after the reset and now nothing shows up in my pull down menus except the dx and dxi plugs. All the vst stuff is now missing. I tried several rescans with every combination of boxes checked and still nothing.
I am sure there is a simple answer for this. I also checked the plugin manager and they were not listed in any of the bins, even with excluded checked.
Sorry I'm being stupid here.

That sounds as though the adaptor isnt looking in the right place for plugins. Are you sure you have it scanning the right directories?

yes, I have checked the proper folder,
When it scans I can see all the plugins move through the box in the center. I watched and they are all there.
Thanks,,

Problem solved!!!!
This is what was happening, for what ever reason the adapter let my antares filter vst pass the first time I installed sonar (week ago) Now every time I tried a rescan filter would crash the adapter with out any screen telling me this had happened. It just goes away.
This made me assume that the adapter was finished and I thought all was fine. Then I remebered that I had to push the 'finish' button. This I never got to do.
Well I will check the antares site and see if there is a dx version.
Thank you very much for the time spent to help me!!!

Ah, glad you tracked down the problem. Let us know how it goes.
