CUBASE SX 2 + TR 909

I have a roland TR909 connected via midi with a laptop that I use with cubase sx 2, but I'm not able to sync the 909 with the pc.

Is it the TR909 syncable with midi equipment? or can it be only a master device?

Good question.
The 707 can be slaved, but it's also of a later generation. Is there a button to set the sync-option (ie din, tape, MIDI)?
If all else fails, you could try to use the 909 as master. Should be rock-solid.

from what I remember, the 909 has a very crude implementation of midi, and I *think* it may prefer being the master.
