I'm aware that all of the stock amps from3.5 will be in 4. It looks like you're thinking of the default stock amps. I'm asking about the amps in the amp shop, which has been said to add new models, much like Custom Shop does for Amplitube. I'm wondering if there will be any available upon release, and if we could get any clue as to what amps we could see in the AMP SHOP.
Sorry about that boss. Looks like I'm the one who misunderstood. I didn't see the part where it says the amp shop was including different amps.
Some of the models that we have in ReValver 4 are the same models as the ones we had in MK III.V, but that is where the similarity ends. ReValver 4 is a completely redesigned software, the modelling was done in much finer detail, response, dynamics and feel are even more realistic than the previous version. Tweaking goes even deeper and the cabinets interact with the amps with extra information, so it's not "just" impulse response technology anymore. It's a new code so, brand new!
This is encouraging. I am glad that you are making the cabs more interactive and the feel more responsive. I hope that the high end fizz is gone from the preamp models as that was my biggest qualm about version 3.5. Looking forward to this.

Some of the presets in the youtube video do sound fizzy.

That was my impression as well but I feel like I still need to give it it's fair do and hopefully see if there's a way to tweak this.

It's too bad it's taken Peavey this long to come out with this. Because it's been way overdue. But at least it looks like the pricing seems fair, which is a plus

Regarding sound quality, I am floored by Positive Grid Bias and can't wait for their desktop version to come out (announced in June soon to be released for both Mac AND Windows). I don't hear any unnatural fizz in those amp models and they seem incredibly responsive, realistic, and the tone is just spot on. I think that is going to be the real game changer.

@fizzy. I've gotten over worrying about that  If it isn't fizzy, it's too dark and sounds like ass in a mix (unless it's something really sparse)

I went through a bunch of those "guitar only" tracks you can find all over the web and most of them sounded fizzy.

Some of the sounds in the example sound ok, some not so much. There is one that I'm particularly fond of

Plus GUYS! They are using cubase in that viddy........you KNOW cubase is the most harsh/digital sounding host! :hihi:

getting my $50 set aside for an upgrade can't wait to give it a go.

How about downloading and trying the amps from the shop etc? 2 days every few months would help me evaluate which amps to buy.

Yeah, Jamup is awesome! just got it today and added the bass packs.
Hopefully it will be as good in the desk top.
Does revalver have bass amps.

Yeah but I find I can hear the digital fizz is ubiquitous in Revalver specifically and is really audible even in the context of mixes. I know a lot of the free amp sims out there have that same fizz and so on but I would expect that not to be an issue with a commercial amp sim in 201

Some the other better amp sims like Overloud TH2 don't have that same level of fizz and I'm not hearing any of that fizz in the Positive Grid videos.

Here's a good example of someone using a corrective impulse of the power amp section of a 6505 just to get rid of the unnatural buzz saw sound in Revalver.

Awesome, Bill! Really shocked at what that little guy can do. Can't wait for Bias desktop. That's a good question about Bass amps...

As stated, unfortunately, the "fizzy" one will sound better in a mix imho. The other one is too muddy and will get lost with the other instruments.

HIBIDY is NOT a mix expert, but I'm pretty sure I know of what he speak :hihi:

:hihi:

But seriously, I try to get all those "non fizz" tones and they are ASS inside my lame little songs. That's why I like GTR. It's fizzy, it's kinda funky, but it sits in my mixes better than the other nonsense.

Can't wait to hear revalver on my system. Again, I hope it's stable

so, i've read the latest posts several times, but still have a couple of questions:

1. which amps will be available in the free version?
2. we have the free version, and the producer pack. are there any extra amps in the shop (i.e. that can only be bought in the shop, not throuhg Producer Pack) at launch, or they will come later?
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.
